Cool, a proper megathread. Good job OP. Too bad I can't play it on Windows 7 still :/
Works on my 64x edition. Any reason?
Works on my 64x edition. Any reason?
Here too, it works on my 64x Win7. [editline]12:05AM[/editline] If anything comes up with a clan or something, PM me. I'll be glad to be an active recruit.
This is a great game, I got into it a while back and I still play it. Its one of the best games that requires teamwork out there.
Haha, torque engine.
No they swapped to the C4 engine. OP fix your error.
I've yet to hear a single human voice so far. I don't know what button I press to use mine either. I've never played BF2.
Join a squad. Nobody in the right mind goes without a mic in this game. Press B to talk on VOIP to other people.
For a feel of the gunplay, try single player out. (Protip, Dont use any maps that have Carriers, bots cant land transport helicopters, plus lowering the player count lets you raise the bot count)
I'm going to give this another go, any FP'ers want to meet me on an empty server or something?
Great OP, now I just need to buy BF2.
I'm up for a match, I got a mic.
I loved Project Reality. It was awesome having a coordinated team and squadleaders that actually commanded their squads instead of just serving as a respawn point.
JAH, I just joined a populated server. AL Basrah is the map, it's got about 17 players in it and it's called (13infantry) or something like that, it's near the top in co-op. Or try and find an empty server and let me in on it.

How do I know where my squad is? [editline]02:06AM[/editline] Alright, adding you.
I need to install BF2 if I want to play this... I 'm thinking of doing so soon just to check out how well this mod is going.. hope the servers are still populated, I hate to do all this just to see not many people play this anymore.
plenty of people still play it
One of my favorite things to play.
This is my first time playing Battlefield and PR but I'm banned from three servers.
I d/l PR a month ago. Can't play it. It says "pr.exe has stopped working" - I did nothing to it, never played it, I just d/l it and it just doesn't wanna run. Anyone know how to fix this?
This is my first time playing Battlefield and PR but I'm banned from three servers.
Very common. While BF2's community isn't as loud and obnoxious as C:SS's, they're almost equal on a scale of shit.
Very common. While BF2's community isn't as loud and obnoxious as C:SS's, they're almost equal on a scale of shit.
The PR community is far better, most people i jump into peoples squads into in public servers usually welcome me. [editline]08:07AM[/editline]
I have experience in JROTC and Airsoft if that helps any. Facepunch clan would be nice. [editline]09:05PM[/editline] The ArmA2 clan that was around before they found out their leader was a phony.
We're still around you know, and we do still occasionally play pr, i still host their arma2 server, and will be hosting for arrowhead today. Just change of leadership.
Same here. People are usually always happy for another squad mate that tries with the best of their ability.
The PR community is far better, most people i jump into peoples squads into in public servers usually welcome me.
Eh...to a new player the PR community might seem like elitist assholes. There are a lot of them, but not all of them are like this. It might be hard for a new player finding a squad that would help him out and not kick him the first thing he doesn't do right.
Just got done playing with Jah'maaun, it took awhile and I had some problems with Punkbuster, still do. I was 'banned' (I don't know how, this is my first time playing BF2 and PR) on a few servers so it took us awhile to figure out a fix. All in all, it wasn't bad considering it was 4AM and we couldn't join any of the good servers so we had to hang around with Jackie Chan and play Skirmish which was slightly boring. So I got the basics now, It'll probably be better when there are more servers tomorrow. If anything I could call them distracted considering I waltzed in on their game.
Works on my 64x edition. Any reason?
What? Really? I'm using 32 bit now and I had it on 64 bit before and I actually played it for a little bit until I got nonstop Punkbuster errors. After I (supposedly) fixed it, I tried to start PR back up and my computer would just freeze. I think I even got BSoD once D:
i run it fine on Windows 7 32, infact better than on Vista 32
If I still had my BF2 and had some friends who wanted to play, I would definitly play it.
Well, I downloaded it, and now have to install it, so I think we should play later or tomorrow, a group of us. What do you guys think?
Project Reality is the only reason I've bought BF2 three separate times, after losing my key once, then they took off the ability to lookup your key online...I've been playing since .7, a patch that updates a lot of the blufor weapons, and might add 3D scopes, isn't too far away I think.
I can't wait for the ArmA 2 version!
