I'll be good for tomorrow, I'm in the UK mind you.
Pretty fun when people actually use the mic/vent to communicate.
Try Mumble, get people to talk around you. You can hear the enemy too!
ive played pr for 2 years, all I can say, don't enter a public server if you have not read the manual, we don't like it when someone tries to fly for the first time on a public server, they end up crashing a helicopter, 20 tickets right there, our transportation is down for 10 minutes.
You just fucked us over for the round then.
some rounds last 2-3 hours, and for it to all get messed up cause someone didn't read the manual right and do some training/co-op first is annoying as hell.
SO DONT DO IT.
I repeat do not fly if you never have, so many times i have been on the losing team.
A lot of the time im the CAS and TRANS squad leader so its annoying as hell dealing with noobs like that.
but other then that, more people the better.
I just hope PR dosn't become too popular and known, that would make the realism go out the window seeing more "noobs" would flock to the servers only dragging down teamplay.
I usually play on the TG servers, I go by SGT.Ray, I usually am in VOIP infantry squads now.
Having played PR for years as infantry, I back up the above poster.
It sucks walking the entire length of the map.
Honestly a lot of people complain about the current "accuracy and fatigue" system, but here's the good news.
I recently saw a video of a small circle at the bottom left of the screen that changes from red, to yellow and green to indicate accuracy. This should serve to help ALOT of people should they add it in next patch or something.
Case in point : Experimental stuff :

fuck the indicator, i'm more interested in that little menu that he was using to switch between scope and ironsight and the grenadier sight

hell yeah, to many times I have died when using a scoped weapon at close ranged.
In a long ranged map IE the enemy managed to close in on us.
or we suddenly had to go into a village and thus begun the close quarters combat with long ranged weapons.
I really wanna play, but I don't like to use the mic :(
You don't have to use the mic to play good.
I don't use it, And I can still play pretty well in a squad who have mics.
As long as they don't kick me that is.
It's easy enough to spot people using text.
Installing Part 2 now, when and where are we playing?
this game is fun
imo i prefer coop to be better
I agree, all coop needs is better AI and bigger maps, really.
I really need to get BF2.
get, it's pretty cheap anywhere
New highlight came out on the 3rd.

this all looks great, i wonder if the update is going to come soon
also what factions will be getting the AK47 GP? because the Taliban, Hamas, and Militia all use the AK74 so will it be replacing that?
Yes.
Update:
New Norwegian AG3 Rifles and attachments.

In game, it will be several variations. According to [R-COM]pleym, former Norwegian Faction leader, i managed to do a simple list of what he plans to indroduce into the Mod:
AG3-F1:
Collapsible Buttstock
Fixed Buttstock
*Both Ironsights only.
AG3-F2:
Collapsible Buttstock
*40mm Grenade Launcher + Reciever RIS + Aimpoint (1x)
*40mm Grenade Launcher + Reciever RIS + Aimpoint (1x) + Aimpoint Magnifier (3x)
*Handguard RIS + Reciever RIS + Vertical Grip + Aimpoint (1x)
*Handguard RIS + Reciever RIS + Vertical Grip + Aimpoint (1x) + Aimpoint Magnifier (3x)
Fixed Buttstock
*Handguard RIS + Reciever RIS + Vertical Grip + Bipods + Aimpoint (1x)
*Handguard RIS + Reciever RIS + Vertical Grip + Bipods + Acog Scope (4x)
All versions come with 2 texture variations, one Black with Dark Green Details (render) and one with the Desert Camo.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!
Oh jesus, I don't know whether to get this or Arma 2: OA. :crying:

Well think about it. BF2 is 5 bucks, plus this mod which is free. Arma 2:OA is 40 bucks. Big price difference there. Both games are great though.
Get both.
45 bucks for 2 awesome games and access to an even more awesome mod sounds like a good deal to me.
I liked this mod; then I got ArmA 2.
Something about this mod bugs me to hell: why the hell do the Russians have a BRDM? Seems to me like the vehicles for the Russians and the MEC got mixed up: the Russians ought to have the BMP-3 for their IFV, and the MEC can get a completely new IFV. The BTR-80(A) is an APC.
I really like it other than that. The Russians in their old left-over-from-the-80s-desert camouflage look mighty fine.
I liked this mod; then I got ArmA 2.
The problem with ArmA 2 is it has very little good PvP, private or public. Now that they're making Project Reality for ArmA 2 though, that will change, and BF2 can be happily abandoned.

Maybe the Russian Ground Forces depicted belong to a motor rifle unit that is not equipped with BMPs. Not every Russian motorized unit has modern BMP-3s available to them.
AFIAK, BRDMs are still used as reconnaissance and specialist weapons carriers.

Oh, I know that they are most likely motorized rifle units. In that case, they should have BMP-2s. The BMP-3s are still in limited service, and I'm pretty sure right now Russian high command is really trying to get them into the hands of their naval infantry (On that note, isn't it supposed to be a Naval Infantry unit present in the Beirut map, or no? I know there's a large body of water close to the map, and it really screamed "Naval infantry" to me.) That being said, there are so many BMP-2s lying around that Russia couldn't get rid of them all if they wanted to. The BRDM is still used as a scout car, because it's pretty damn good at that. It's not something you would see operating as it does in game however.

The Russians do have BMP-3s on Silent Eagle as well as BTR-80s, BTR-80As and BTR-60s. The BMP-2 has not been modeled yet. We're also getting a brand new vehicle, the MT-LB.

It will be replacing the BRDMs for the Russians and (hopefully) MEC. It won't be replacing the BRDMs for the Militia faction though.
Also, check out this baby. Was just posted today.

Puma Infantry Fighting Vehicle for the Bundeswehr. Should make an appearance in v0.92.
I wish the devs could get jamming to work some how...
unloading a car-15 on full auto for 3 minutes straight with zero weapon malfunction is a little strange.
I wish the devs would make a PR2142.
the closest i can get is empires, but empires has shit optimization, and despite the fact my computer runs crysis on high, i get framerate issues on low in empires.
Ah, the MT-LB. I'm fine with the Russians having BRDMs and MT-LBs, it's just that they shouldn't serve the purpose they serve now.

Hooray, Germans! Finally. I guess that means I'll be able to ride into Berlin in/on the back of a BMP and laugh at the destroyed architecture as a Russian.
Nothing against the Germans, though. I just think it would be kinda fun.
