• Metal Gear Solid 3DS will be a fucking port of MGS:3

Never got around to playing MGS3 so I'm cool with this.
Never played a Metal Gear Solid game so I hope I can understand what's going on.
I think it is a great idea. Like the article said, "there are many who played MGS for the first time through Peace Walker, so we thought the timing would be just right. Everyone wants to know the story of The Boss...MGS3's story can't change, so we're thinking of Co-ops, 3D and portable-like elements." There are possibly going to be several others who's first experience in MGS would be the 3DS remake. Starting off with MGS3 would be the most natural way. I don't see why people would complain about this.
I never got the chance to play MGS3, so I'm okay with this.
That's one more reason for me to buy a 3DS One is being the new Resident Evil, with AMAZING graphics for a handheld
So does that mean peace walker and PO will be on 3DS as well?
Fucking Nintendo. I don't even want a 3DS yet, but fuck.
Why "Nintendo"? [editline]12:57AM[/editline]
It'd pretty much be a new Metal Gear game from scratch, is he really gonna waste all the work on the fucking 3DS?
Because the 3DS is looking to be a really good handheld? [editline]12:58AM[/editline] Also, OP is an idiot. This can only be a good thing.
I'd rather have it on PSP, but oh well I'm gonna try it if there will be any 3DS emulator.
I'd rather have it on PSP, but oh well I'm gonna try it if there will be any 3DS emulator.
Why would you want it on a previous-gen handheld? The 3DS is graphically superior. ...which makes me wonder why the hell you think a decent 3DS emulator will be released so soon

It's only superior, because there isn't any new PSP and tbh I think Peace Walker looks really nice.
Goddamn. I need a fucking 3DS. It has so many great titles and it's not even available yet. [editline]12:26PM[/editline] Especially for the OoT remake
I didn't say it will be released soon. I can wait. It's only superior, because there isn't any new PSP.
It's graphically superior because it's the only next-gen console at the moment.
It's graphically superior because it's the only next-gen console at the moment.
Erm that was what I was trying to say or is it sarcasm :crossarms:
Snake Eater made me cry.
Snake Eater made me cry.
The end is especially sad :frown:
I'd rather have this also on console's just so I could nostalgia all over again. But you know, I'm ok with this, considering I loved MGS3. My favorite part was that you had to go and fix Naked Snake's injuries.
So far the only game that would make we want a 3DS is MGS.
I like the idea, maybe afterwards they could get on in making Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake to continue the arc.
So they're re-releasing Metal Gear Solid 3, with more shit, on a console that seems to be powerful enough to handle it without severely reducing gameplay quality, and adds glasses-free 3D capability? Not seeing the issue here, game is pretty amazing, AND NOW I CAN TAKE IT WITH ME.
Well, I don't think MGS3 is gonna be very good on a DS. 3D or not. And I doubt it will have any additional features. That is IF it even exists. Its still just a tech demo.
I'm not going to buy a 3DS immediately though, they'll probably make a "3DS Lite" with extra battery life the next year.
Well, I don't think MGS3 is gonna be very good on a DS. 3D or not.
and why not
I fail to see the problem the OP has here
and why not
I'd rather play with a gamepad. It's like the new GoldenEye game. It sounds decent and I'd like to play it. But I don't want to play it with a wiimote.
I played through the PSP Metal Gear games just fine. I don't see how this would be any different.
Yes it may work. Is it preferable? No. At least for me. The shooting in MGS3 was difficult enough on the gamepad so I can't imagine how the DS that is without pressure sensitive buttons and analogue sticks (as of now) could be just as good.

It isn't pressure sensitive.
It isn't pressure sensitive.
Don't expect the game to play exactly the same. If anything, I'm expecting a more MGS4-like control scheme.
