Twisted Metal: Black Soul Reaver Soul Reaver 2 Kane & Lynch: Dead Men Max Payne Max Payne 2 Harvester Darkseed Killer 7(probably the darkest, most demented game made to date) All games are rated M I think, but except for the Soul Reavers and Killer 7 none of them are that violent.

Killer 7 is neither dark nor demented. Its too surreal to be either

I'd say Portal too, it has this dark and lonely feeling... also has some dark humor in it.

Go on Ebay and look for Oblivion rated T You see, oblivion was originally rated T, but ESRB was a bitch and decided to bump the rating to M Its the same game, nothing is different except the rating. Good way to fool your parents. Plus there are many dark moments. A man couldn't join the Dark Brotherhood, so he cut his mothers head off and talks to it. :ohdear:

If you really want a game that is "dark as your soul" you should try the one in Take_Opal's avatar. It's the Chzo Mythos, an indie game divided in four parts. The graphics are not that good, but is a mind twisting bizarre game. Very good btw. The penumbra series is also very good, dark and scary (if played midnight and alone).

EVERSION! Really REALLY dark platformer, not long, but damn is it dark and twisted. BUT PLAY IT THROUGH FULLY AND DO NOT LOOK AT ANY REVIEWS OR ANYTHING. It's all happy at the beginning, but you'll see later. Also, press X to everse.
