I can't even get the game open. I click on a server, and when I try to click on the client.exe to open the aos link with, nothing happens. When I start it up manually the process exits right after

Just played a fucking epic game on Call of Blocks as the Green master race. We built a bunker on a hill, and the two factions were seperated by a winding river. The bunker expanded into a pillbox, and we were getting tons of kills - never losing it to the blues. We built tunnels out and around under the hill to get into their base and did operations flanking from the far North and South. Anywhere outside of a trench or pillbox or your own base was nomans land - step out of line and you would be shot in the head by a sniper, it's like WW1.

To everyone complaining about the code, it's not. Their master server controls all access to other servers. What's happening is it's being overloaded like crazy so half the time people connect to empty servers. I've not had a single problem aside from the grey screen issue, but that was easily solved after trying various times to connect to different servers. We took the hill overlooking the blue base. Then we built a massive fucking trench system that dominated their spawn. Sooner or later the blues pushed us back, but then we flanked around them and used bunkers on the surrounding hills to pick them off. By the time we retook the hill, there were craters everywhere, but we used them as cover and made a final push where the entire time swarmed their spawn. Shit's awesome.

If this game was developed more I could see it easily rivalling minecraft in terms of popularity, it can run on low end machines, there isn't really any other game like this, it's fun and it's free.

I wonder if they even realize how badly everything is messing up right now, there is no way to contact them. Do we even know who developed this?

The main website is down to accomodate traffic but you can still join games here" Yes they realize they are getting a hell of a lot of traffic. They weren't expecting this, but Penny Arcade, /v/, and a few other forums (including ourselves) found out about it. There's nothing much anyone can do except wait for the rush to die down or upgrade servers.

Master server's back up and I was able to connect to my own server - those struggling to play should try again now, as it is my understanding that all connections pass through that master server first.
