Dirt near lava will grow grass right?
I gathered 64 redstone from the trip, altogether from my mine I've gathered around 200+ coal, 10 diamonds, 70+ iron and 200+ Redstone.
It just sucks that I have to put up with 15 FPS :sigh:

Have you tried setting graphics to FAST and turning on fog with the F key?

I found a block of cobblestone that I didn't place underground. There weren't any springs near it and it wasn't mossy so no dungeon. It was just one block, sitting there in the middle of the cave.

Lava + Water does that, and it may be part of an old save in that slot.
