You're automatically admin if you connect from the same IP as the server. If you aren't just put yourself into the admin/OP list in the server software text file.

If it's not a bug it's definitely to encourage people to play on higher difficulties, since slimes aren't very dangerous on their own.
He admitted Slimes were rushed and will be fixed, their hitbox are all messed up too and they clip through things sometimes.

He should make items that let you interact with a mob, make them follow you (if they get stuck tele to you) and never despawn.
The saddle would be great for this.

You know the dog in Torchlight/Nethack? That's what we need, except with a tame baby slime. It'd be able to take stuff back to your house and put it in your chest, but it'd have a small inventory.
(And maybe you'd have to feed it slimeballs as treats or something.)

There is no rain yet, and to get snow just keep remaking a save. Slime are deep underground.
