Meh, not everyone has connections to people who are in the SMP beta, there'll still be plenty of people who haven't played it. Though I figure that because this is the beta SMP, we can't complain about the bugs being gamebreaking.

I don't see why Notch doesn't just make the SMP beta public, the invites are going around everywhere

Just joking, although as many people have said before me, I'd like an invite.
I wish Notch would make the current build of SMP public, that way we could all enjoy it.
He would probably have to release the server software for it though otherwise we would never get in the server.

It was becoming really monotome to terraform it (I had to raise the groundlevel 6 blocks, and I just don't have the time) so I finished laying out how the maze will look like.
Now I just have to put cobblestones everywhere and make it pretty tall, then I'll start with the next step.

So I was getting sand to make glass, it was at night but I couldn't see any monsters, got the sand and started heading up to my camp. On the way up there was 3 fucking creepers in front of me, turned around and there were 2 more, I escaped over my bridge then went inside and waited until morning, went back outside and 2 of them were still out there and blew half of my camp up >:(

It's definiatly a good buy if you enjoy creating things, you can watch the OP on stuff people have built and it'll give you a pretty good hint of what's possible and what's not.
Personally I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys sandbox type of games, it's not all about building though. You can play it as a survival game too where you have to prepare yourself on the days by building, gathering resources and exploring on the day so that you can kill the monsters that come out at night.
You can also explore vast caves that hold both riches beyond your imagination but also harbors monsters who will do anything to kill you. Even by blowing themselves up.
So yes, I would say it's a good game and when I get cash for it, I'll gift it to someone so that they too can experience a game that really needs more attention.
I gave 2 people SMP codes, and will not give any more unless notch is in need or someone strikes my fancy.
And no, I will never EVER give anything to someone trying to buy it from me. Never.
Unless it's something real good.
