Besides, this is what I've been saying all along. There will be no way to make SMP work. If there is no prop protection, the line between griefing and legitimate play will blur even more, and if there is, players will start harassing each other by building giant blocks around each others buildings, which they can't remove.

Atleast in singleplayer my only threat is the monsters.

Yeah but the experience is more in building it - not keeping it. I think the pros of playing online outweigh the cons.

Man, I finally crashed, I was wayyyy far away from the spawn point, explored a few caves, had a few diamonds and a lot of iron. Some useful commands would be /home, to return home. and /iron, to give you 4 iron. I recommend you type /iron like every 5 minutes for free iron. Man, I had like 6 stacks of coal and a ton of mushrooms too. :(

Thats why you'll need regular patrolls around the area and have to learn how to counter tunneling like the Chinese did :3: Anyone want to say drums dug in the ground?

What are with the threads not being locked?

I mean, SMP will always have people that criticize it because it does or doesn't do something they do or don't agree with, and there will always be griefing no matter what server software you use or what it can do or not do. There's no way to fix it.
