I want a spell that removes a 3x3x3 block of earth. Maybe as a downside for the spell, you don't get the materials from the dig and you can't stop it from destroying minerals. Or maybe just make it require a lot to cast it?
Either that or a large drilling platform you can build that digs straight down with you on it.

Dunno about here, but on the Gametrailers forum it started creating database errors when some threads got to a few thousand pages and the threads became unmanageable.

They spawn in the dark, so yes. If you don't properly light your own house they will spawn
