Indeed. they arent so good for transportation on longer distances. every 100 blocks i need to make a ramp to get some speed to move horizontally fast.

I have a giant transportation infrastructure fueled by logic gates and switches and lots and lots of rails but it will only work if the carts don't lose all their energy every 100 blocks.
