Better animations, seriously, my male charachter shakes his ass in power armor like a girl.
Really? :q:
Yeah umm, about that... The iron sights are more like the doom 1 style of holding a gun. So basically F:NV's Iron sights are down at your stomach.
they have stated that the iron sights are no where near done.
I don't want every NPC to have the same body. I want fat people, skinny people, short people, tall people, etc.
The ability to have a stupid character (remember when your Intelligence was below 4 or something in FO1 and 2).
An engine that isn't the gamebryo engine. Yeah, it isn't going to happen...
Ok, seriously, I would really like to know why gamebryo is such a bad engine. Please, tell me why you think this.
The ability to have a stupid character (remember when your Intelligence was below 4 or something in FO1 and 2).
Something like this will be in New Vegas. Instead of every dialogue option being stupid, you get some that make it clear you have no idea what the hell is going on.
Lagoa Multiphysics
That's fucking amazing.
I want more Lovecraftian shit. The Dunwich Building was great
That's fucking amazing.
I know. Also people have supplied us boxes so we may pack the necessary equipment to make this venture possible.
a good story
The content in New Vegas looks original--I just hope they address the problems from the first game, such as: - New animations. Seriously, those are the worst excuse for animations I've ever seen. Hell, if one guy from falloutnexus.com can fix the majority of them in a mod, surely a team can come up with way better ones. - Fix engine instability. I tried for a long time to fix crash to desktop issues with Fallout 3. The only real solution I found was disabling most of my mods, and that takes away a big chunk of replayability. Not to mention their tech support forum is a piece of shit. - More trained voice actors. It really kills the immersion when I run into 3 people in a row with the same monotone voice. There are only 4-5 characters that had good voice actors (Burke, Dad, Pres. Eden, etc), the other ones sucked ass. Don't get me wrong, Fallout 3 was a great game, and I spent many long hours playing it. However, with the upcoming sequel, I expect these issues to be fixed.
To me, having no voice would be just as bad or worse than having the same voice. Plus, when I have to read a ton of dialogue, I tend to just skip around to important points of what they're saying.
One of the things that the voice system does that I like is it keeps the dialogue short and simple, more like a real conversation. I agree that in some games where you read text the dialogue can get way out of hand. However, I think that if done right, text can immerse you 20 times more than voice.
Pump action shotguns. The ability to melee with weapons. Better sniping.
Co-Op. That'd be awesome.
Co-Op certainly would be amazing. It would get me and my friends to stop taking turns playing.
Its new vegas. A goddamn city. I want it to be bigger, and feel like a city. The current new vegas looks like a normal settlement. And I want vehicles. What's better than flying a vertibird, or driving a nuclear powered car?
Lagoa Multiphysics
Sure, if you are willing to wait a few weeks for each frame while your PC calculates them.
Yeah umm, about that... The iron sights are more like the doom 1 style of holding a gun. So basically F:NV's Iron sights are down at your stomach.
No you idiot. Maybe if you payed attention to anything in the last thread (Which is probably where you got your source from), the iron sights are not stomach high, or at an angle, or any other stupid shit you guys tried to argue about for two pages. As was explained, during the trailor, the guy was firing his gun, which means there was recoil, which means that the sights are just like any other game. Fuck, there was even another point in the video where the iron sights were shown off perfectly and you people still decided to argue about it like ignorant douches. And here you are, still spreading rumors that the iron sights are shitty.
I want it to not use Gamebryo But thats not gonna happen
A good thirdperson.
According to PC Power Play, it has been improved, so yeah, that probably means they've improved the animations and probably fixed some of the fuckups that Bethesda made enginewise.
What do you mean "no"? Are you going to be afraid it's "going to be like Call of Duty" if they don't make aiming down sights retarded? I'm sorry, but in real life aiming down a sight sort of looks like this: [img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/64/Tasco_PDP2.jpg[/img_thumb] and not like this: [img_thumb]http://www.sutter-gmbh.de/ebay/bilder-zf/rd-1x40/bild5_gr.jpg[/img_thumb] Okay? Okay.
Congratulations on completely missing the point. Unless I'm the one missing the point :ohdear:
When the fuck is Gamebyro going to disappear it is the worst shit i have ever seen.
When the fuck is Gamebyro going to disappear it is the worst shit i have ever seen.
For all of us, tell us whats so bad about it?
Gamebyro sucks dick every game that uses it looks outdated the streaming sucks, it streams the whole world in square shapes (like ps1 games did) and if you edit it to stream more of the world at once it gets glitchy as shit and crashes and you fall through the ground you have no middlewares at all (like euphoria or certain lighting techniques), except for speedtree which is an outdated as heck version (the leaves always face your character like in deer hunter 2 for the ps1) character animation completely sucks dick, which makes it look the way an open world game from 3 years ago looks, rough around the edges and crap also the shadows suck theres no unified shadowing system everything throws its own ps1 shadow
Fallout 3 doesn't have them.
It does have nice quests and there are many new characters with mods.

Oh god I hate that.
Gamebyro sucks dick - Mostly agreed every game that uses it looks outdated - Can be fixed if Betheda would pull their finger out of their ass. the streaming sucks, it streams the whole world in square shapes (like ps1 games did) and if you edit it to stream more of the world at once it gets glitchy as shit and crashes and you fall through the ground - Streaming in this engine is always hit and miss, could be fixed. you have no middlewares at all (like euphoria or certain lighting techniques), except for speedtree which is an outdated as heck version (the leaves always face your character like in deer hunter 2 for the ps1) - Got to love sprites right? Even Just Cause 2 had this, it isn't unique to Gamebyro. character animation completely sucks dick, which makes it look the way an open world game from 3 years ago looks, rough around the edges and crap also the shadows suck theres no unified shadowing system everything throws its own ps1 shadow - A lack of AO doesn't help the shadows, but the animations are the fault of the devs, not the engine for the most part.
Yeah we know the engine sucks, but like Source did at first, it can be fixed.
How exactly do you people know that these problems could just be fixed? What if the engine has already been brought to it's max? There could be simple changes made like implementing inverse kinematics (or something), shadow maps or a newer version of Speedtree. These things alone could make a Fallout 4. But they didn't and that just makes me guess that the engine is limited and has been fully exhausted [editline]09:43PM[/editline]
Yeah we know the engine sucks, but like Source did at first, it can be fixed.
personally i think source sucks as well, but that's just valves laziness.
More beards.
Yeah we know the engine sucks, but like Source did at first, it can be fixed.
Except that Valve's concept of effort and engine elbow grease is a world away from Bethesda's concepts.
