You know that feeling you get when someone's bad with computers and you have to watch?
One friend at college loved Minecraft after I told him about it, but he would literally spam torches in caves on every single wall until the whole system was as bright as the sun. When I asked him why, he said he didn't like it being dark.
Later turns out, he was on peaceful. Nearly shat himself when a pig sneaked into his cave.

A friend of mine bought me the game wayyyy back when it was just building and survival mode didn't exist yet. Then I told my friends about it and now they can't stop playing it
Lemme start counting.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, about the be 6 when he buys it. I also met an attractive group of girls who all play MC together when I wore a creeper shirt to school. Good times.

No one yet. I tried getting my best mate to play but he and his brother have a really annoying habit of not being willing to even try a game if "It doesn't have a point".
Which is ironic seeing as they play WWE and Football Manager games.

Hm, I think my friend Vatx showed me that game, and I started playing it with friends.
It was in 2009, when there were still Minecraft Dedicated Servers. Me and my friends were playing on #9 and we build a big castle on an island with port, lava pool, normal pool, few rooms, watchtowers and big Polish flag. There was also a big stadium in the middle of the map.
I was also one of those first 1000 people who bought minecraft. Then... hell broke loose and it became a phenomenon in just few months.
Damn, it happened so fast.
2 People, who both bought it 10 minutes later.
Now everyone plays it in ICT.

I got my entire corp on eve to buy the game. The CEO hated me for it, it sent operations attendance through the floor.

About 5 friends, all of them still play it.
Tried it with my friends, but they are all either utter assholes based entirely around the Xbox and Facebook, or have the cultural tastes of a dying rat.
I've gotten around 20 and none have regretted joining.
Old social circle from where I used to live, a few from out where I live now that didn't already know, some old XBL friends.
