They didn't deserve free copies of L4D2 and nobody asking for them in this thread deserves one.
VAC fucked up. All VALVe has to do is say "whoops looks like our system wasn't so great", unban them, and apologize. They don't have to throw in TWO COPIES of an around-30 dollar game for free. Before everyone goes "OOOH IT'S VALVE YOU HATE VALVE GET THE FUCK OUT", look at my avatar and then reconsider. The only reason they were given free copies of L4D2 is because MW2 is known for having the worst and most childish fanbase of any game on Steam save for maybe TF2. They JUST WOULDN'T LET VALVE GO if they didn't throw in some 'compensation'. VALVe didn't have to do shit for them, but they did anyway. They should have just said "no we won't give you a free game" and put those undeserving 13 year olds in their place.

Someone is being bitter about something that doesn't concern you. And they're not all 13 year old you know, there are people who are mature adults who play it as well. So stop generalizing an entire community and then criticizing people who don't deserve it.

well seeing as my friend who got vac banned for no reason is an 18-year old who works two jobs, is a very nice guy, and has a talent to make movies in games, including modern warfare 2, I disagree with your post.

Although the strain on the servers probably cost them a small bit, even if the actual copies of L4D2 didn't cost them to make.

they got banned for two weeks at the most, it's not like they died
Honestly I bet about 50% of them were really hackers and will be all banned by next month. It just doesn't sound right.
