I just rented this game on my xbox 360. Is it really boring though? I haven't played it yet.
i'm on the fence about this one, i can't tell if it's genuinely as terrible as some people are making it out to be or if i should suck it up and get it...

It seems the vast majority of complaints are on the technical standpoints and some wonky design decisions (not allowing us to manually set graphics options).

I honestly never really got all the hype for this game. The more gameplay videos I watched, the more I lost interest. It just doesn't look like any unique gameplay elements (or multiplayer modes) were put into the game. What am I missing out on?

That's because the 360 was the lead platform. Of course it doesn't have tech issues. Carmack said that the 360 was the lea dev platform ages ago. Funny how people seem to have forgotten that.

No, people are just butthurt cause they don't know how to fucking read.
Consoles was [b]always[/b] the lead platform. PC has better graphics and multi threaded streaming for nVidia users, that's it.
Has the same types of issues Far Cry 2, Crysis 2 and both Fallouts had on launch day, so buy or not based on expectations.
