Also, how do I turn on Vsync? MASSIVE screen tearage in this bitch.

Being locked to 60fps is ok for people with a 60fps screen.
I haven't ever played on a screen with a higher fps than that myself, but I really want a 120hz one.

I have awesome preformance, just annoyingly slow textures.
(I dont even have that button available for some reason, its just not there :/)

I think it's inclusive to Nvidia cards or something.
I'm having no performance issues other than the slow textures and horrid FOV

The gameplay itself isn't bad but it's basically just... average. I think if you paid full price for this you would ultimately be disappointed but I think it would be good to get on sale one day.

Wait until the technical issues with the game have been addressed.
Oh it's ID software they made doom so it's going to be great.. lol. So glad i didn't buy this full price. A friend of mine on ts was so mad at all the issues he was having and then at how they said they were going to ship a high res pack later on. It's 20gb's it should of included all the fixes and high res textures in the world. Anyway, hope it get's fixed just not on my dime.

Ugh I feel like I got punched in the balls. I've been looking forward to this game for years. I didn't hype myself up for it because I never watched any of the videos or read the news. I boot up the game to what is essentially Mario 64 meets Gears of War...

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt so when I come back to this game in two days I will have graphics options, amazing visuals, great framerate, no screen tearing, and a generally good game. And I say two days because that is what I gave Dead Island and I had never had problems with it since.

So did the ATI patch fix anything, most notably the texture streaming, or no?
The updated rage drivers made things worse for me. Before, I didn't get artifacting and the entire game itself didn't flicker, just the GUI portion. Now I get artifacting as soon as I get in the game and often times the game world will flicker at different levels, sometimes portions of the screen going into weird colors or just black, and other times the enemies and objects/props in the game world flicker and go invisible. On top of that, the GUI still flickers.

this is actually pretty good, you people are silly
Gameplay is fine although easy as hell even on Nightmare difficulty. Multiplayer doesn't work at all for some reason. Really I just want to be able to customize my graphics setting more than what's available. Other than that it's a decent game.
