the difficulty increases somewhat later, but mainly in putting more enemies in every single space
15 GB, yep, this is properly a good choice to buy it instead. All those leechers having to wait that long.
Is there still not a fix to the intro crash
After twiddling around, trying to find a fix, RAGE now crashes on start-up.
I must be making progress.

My game crashes every time I try to do the MBTV for the first time
Ever time I finish it and try to go back to the guy in charge the game crashes. I've also tried saving before I go back but when I press Esc to even try to save it also crashes..
It's been working perfectly up till that point
The new ATI drivers make any OpenGL-based game (including RAGE) crash my display driver instantly. :saddowns:
Why!?
Is the game really supposed to look like this with a high-end config file?
Or has my config file somehow fucked up?

Does anyone have a save near the first resistance mission/the well or so?
I was playing then it gave me a blue screen and corrupted both my quicksave and autosave, the previous versions put me back on the 2nd mission. I'd really appreciate it.

I just wasted today playing Rage on PS3.
Even though the graphical bugs and lack of graphics settings are shameful and need fixing, the game itself is really amazing, one of my favorites this year so far.
The combat just feels.. awesome? Enemy AI is clever and varied, the feeling of a Ghost sidestepping your Wingstick only to get blasted in the face by a shotgun is just awesome.
The character design and overall ambiance of the world is absolutely amazing, the level design is so creative and unique, and the characters and enemies are all really gorgeous and stunning, full of personality.
The quests, surprisingly, are varied and story-backed enough that I actually enjoy doing them and am actively looking for jobs to do. Even the side quests are fun and feel meaningful.
Rage's technical difficulties on launch are seriously annoying, but underneath the graphical errors there's a really awesome game underneath. I'm really glad id was able to put together a modern title so successfully.

I'm only playing easy difficulty (and even had trouble in the dead city) but the combat shotgun and crossbow/sniper rifle are all just fine for me. Shotgun will usually one shot someone if you're close enough. Only reason I'm even using the authority mg is because it has armor piercing rounds which are very useful against the authority.

Well, assuming the game is flawless, I would give it an 8/10 which to me is disappointing since I was waiting for this game since who knows how long.

I guess it's because reviewers expected something more "modern" in the way you play. But let me reassure you, no, it does not have all that modern-fps stuff. You can indeed carry more than 2 weapons, and you can even strafe sprint. How amazing is that?
Also, the spiderbots and the wingsticks are so enjoyable.

It's piss easy to run, i can run it at 60+ fps with a dual core and a 5770, thing is if you look at my video, I'm only getting those 60 fps every 7 seconds and only for 1-2 seconds at a time. I even tried doing a driver sweep and installing just the most recent V2 rage bullshit drivers and it didn't fix it, so I'm just waiting to see if they come out with any new ones that will also fix it like the last 2 or 3 were supposed to. I read somewhere that they were, but i haven't heard anything since.

I was stunned by how great it runs on a GeForce GT 220 (and that thing struggles running 2008 games on highest) and a 2 GHz dual core.
So yeah it runs great, but there's the texture popping issue, and sometimes texture issues.
This game runs at 60 FPS on a MacBook pro 15", 330M nvidia card with 8xAA. It's like it's the most optimized thing in the world.
Unfortunately the textures don't ever stay loaded so fuck this.

They twoshot on body hit and oneshot on head hit.

What's your GPU ? Make sure you have the proper drivers, and that rage is updated to the last version.
