I was running using the 8196 config and the game looked and ran just fine. Now with this new patch the textures look terrible and the config won't work at all.
It's so sad this thread is about fixing problems rather than speaking about the game itself. :(

amd + dualcore is causing stuttering(your card maybe another reason :S)
Try the fix i posted above until they make a better driver

V-Sync doesn't work for me, am I the only one?
The thing that I mostly noted in Rage is that it feels like the time is stopped. There's no night, and this dude at the bar entrance is constantly sleeping.

Game is amazing by the way, one of the best SP FPSes I've played in years.
Catalyst 11.6 fixed all of my problems(stuttering with Catalyst AI, texture checkerboard without, low fps)
Dont forget to clean your current driver with Driver Sweeper before installing Catalyst 11.6.

I've had the defib save me a few times, but it's been damn fun.

Is there really any major difference between easy and nightmare mode? Once I hit the dead city I started having quite a bit of trouble and spent the entire fight at the end near-death. (Where the screen is glowing red.) I've only had two defibs so far though.
