Guns look good. Wingstick looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun. I hope they have some sort of weapon like the plasma rifle in Doom 3. I loved the look and feel of that gun so much. Added to the OP.
RAGE Behind the Scenes: The Wasteland This just popped up in my subscriptions on youtube.
The multiplayer part sounds really fun actually, even if it's generic as all hell. [editline].[/editline] What the fuck did I just say.
Generic can be fun. I'll add it to the OP. Also, RAGE 2/3 - Children of the Atom Was actually pretty good. The first one was awful, just so bad, but this one made up for it. It's letting into some neat story stuff that you didn't know before and I'm getting the feeling we'll meet the doctor at some point in the game. That is unless they kill her off next issue.

NCR, Raiders, Super Mutants, Vaults. Truly unique. /joke (please don't be a dumbfuck and rage about this... really). Apart from tasteless jokes, i really look forward to this. If the 3 disc size is true i'm going to be laughing as fuck at people who buy this over download services. [editline]21st July 2011[/editline]
Also, RAGE 2/3 - Children of the Atom
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Church_of_the_Children_of_Atom Uh... How much of this games lore did they actually come up with? I get that "Post-apocalyptic" is supposed to have a ton of parallels but come on!
That is just a little too stupid.
That is just a little too stupid.
Well yeah. I didn't really mean to be negative about it. I'm looking forward to this game. It's just insane how many parallels they've got. I mean, sure it's the same kind of setting, but come on!
I bet they were really disappointed when Fallout 3 and Borderlands came out to beat them to some of their punches. If none of those were released before RAGE, it would have been crazy.

But Fallout and id both belong to bethesda. It's no biggie.
Well, they should've hurried the fuck up. :v: [editline]22nd July 2011[/editline]
The whole fallout verse of post apoc goodness (that includes the NCR, super mutants, ghouls, regular mutants etcetera) existed when they were busy making Quake titles. I don't really care if I see similarities between Post-Apocalyptic stories as most good things are copied or reiterated upon so, I'm okay with that.
I'm inclined to agree. But then i remembered that the lore is actually in excess of 15 years old. So the "hardcore" crowd would still be screaming our ears off about rip-offs and similarities that are just a bit beyond coincidences. Wow. I missed 3 posts with this?
A lot of Fallout is really Mad Max and movies like Waterworld and various other pop-culture. It's really the best way to do a post-cataclysmic event world so I think it's a good thing. RAGE will have it's more grim-dark serious pseudo-science lore and Fallout will have it's tongue-in-cheek post-apocalypse.
It looks like Bioshock meets Borderlands, the intentional enemies in water and electric ammo, the environment, the enemies. It looks good, but it also looks like an FPS, I hope the story is really good, otherwise it doesn't have much going for it. I hope the stuff like the R/C car isn't some boring gimmick weapon where you use it once and then get tired of it. The combat looks fun, but the health regeneration kills it for me, quoting the guy in the interview "As gamers, we hate dying, we hate that frustration!" We also hate super easy games.
Health-Regen is an option I believe, but it's on by default. [editline]22nd July 2011[/editline] And from the comic and the fact they're releasing a book I think the story and the world is expansive and they think they have a story to tell, so no worries about the story.

God damn! Always beating me to it.
Gonna bump this thread just to get all the id/Bethesda or QuakeCon related threads Pre-Purchase for $60 right now and you get $10 off of the Doom and Quake Pack which now includes Quake 4 and you still get the crap in the Anarchy Edition for free which is a shotgun, fist weapon, armor and a buggie.

That is definitely the trailer this game needed. That wingstick kill... man, there was a lot in that trailer that was awesome.
Oh man, really torn on whether or not I should pre-order this
Well, if you're going to buy it on release might as well. If you care about the deal on steam that's extra incentive. Although, when was the last time you really had to Pre-Order a game?
Just uploaded to the Bethesda channel.
Was that a Wilhelm Scream at 2:30? I never actually gave RAGE that much of a look other than the preview they had in GI a couple years ago. Looks awesome, a bit of that outlandish Borderlands flair with Fallout elements.

No, that's a different but similarly popular scream.
pre ordered this, skyrim, and the quakecon pack in one fell swoop. I am weak, but the games are good.
Am I the only one who thinks this game is going to turn out like Brink? I really loved the tech demo they had when they first announced the game. but the more I look at it the more I see Brink.
I hope Rage doesn't end up with a Halo/COD-like fanbase.
I don't think it will. From everything we've seen you can tell it's kind of a slower paced FPS which, not to say all CoD/Halo fans can't enjoy, is probably something a lot of them will find boring.
COD is slow paced as fuck.
