Glad to see the PC box doesn't look to be a shitty DVD case with glossy paper in it. Seems solid. [editline]21st September 2011[/editline]
One question, did they release some multiplayer videos?
I think there was some footage of the demolition derby stuff and I know there is co-op game footage.
Digital Foundry's interview with Tim Willits on id Tech 5 and RAGE http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/di...of-id-software
On the year of id Software's 20th anniversary in the games business, the legendary Texas-based outfit is finally ready to unleash its latest game - the potentially incredible Rage, which fuses a fresh spin on the traditional id-style FPS action with vehicles and a massive open world. While it's been many years since the last tentpole id title was released, the company's legacy and influence has persisted. Having defined the core multiplayer deathmatch experience in 1993's Doom and dictated the development of cutting-edge 3D rendering up until the release of the current-gen consoles, it seems somewhat appropriate that the most popular online games of today are essentially spiritual successors to id's finest work. Call of Duty's multiplayer is the latest iteration of the gameplay developed in these classics, and the rendering code itself still retains elements of id technology. But in the here and now, how can id's unique approach with Rage compete against the FPS juggernauts in what is the most fiercely competitive area of the core games business? At this week's Eurogamer Expo, Digital Foundry sat down to talk tech, design and dev culture with Tim Willits, creative director of id Software.
[editline]24th September 2011[/editline] Gives me a 404. This must be it? http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-the-return-of-id-software
I have hardly any 360 games, but considering getting RAGE now.
My opinion of the game kind of sways back and forth.
I'm sure I'll get it, but I'm not sure how much it will re-invigorate the genre.
Epic screenshot 400 million pixels. I am speechless.
Thats pretty mind blowing. Here's 2 more. http://www.bethblog.com/index.php/2010/07/01/rage-wallpapers-now-available/
Damn.
Downloading those crashes my computer what the hell.
The textures in those pictures are pretty bad, I'm guessing they're from one of the console versions. I have a RAGE picture as my desktop background and everything looks much clearer and smoother.
Well they are from July 1st, 2010.
Anyone know where I can get some Rage avatars, more specifically for Steam? I looked on the official site and they only have avatars available in 48x48.
Make some yourself from screenshots?

I still would like some official ones though. Also, while looking on the Rage forums I noticed the background could be probably be used as a wallpaper. It's 1920x1200(16:10) so it can easily be resized or cropped(if you have a different aspect ratio and would rather it not looking disproportionate) to fit most monitors. Hi, I've created some wallpapers, and others, in my blog, young, so empty yet. Sorry for my poor english, i'm french ;) http://worldofrage.wordpress.com/wallpapers-2/
How come every game Bethesda makes is so epicly badass?
publisher =/= developer
I still don't know if I'm going to buy this or not, really. Due to all the games coming later this year and my limited money I might just buy it later, when the price has lowered a bit.
I think you should prioritize games that you want the most and not buy this if it's just an impulse buy.
Those screenshots changed my mind, I've got to have this. Time to do some extra work. [editline]26th September 2011[/editline] Only thing I don't like about them is that the cloud by the sun looks exactly the same at wasteland and mutants. But yeah, still gotta have it.

No.
I'm afraid of not understanding, you insinuate that my wallpapers are bad? :p
He meant that your pictures made him change his mind from not wanting it to wanting it.
Every time I see something knew about this game, it just gets more and more generic. Like they keep purposely adding features for the sole purpose that it's been done over and over again.
He meant that your pictures made him change his mind from not wanting it to wanting it.
Actually, I believe he is talking about the two 25600x16000 screenshots.
Shhh!
Nevermind, won't ever be able to afford it :( I have two copies of SR3 to pre-order, and then I won't have any money left.
Actually, I believe he is talking about the two 25600x16000 screenshots.
I wasn't even able to load those on my laptop.
