i enhanced a ring 4 times with succes each time. Then i did 3 more and none of them did anything, the 7'th removed everything :(
I enchanted a ring 10 times to get a steam achievement. Luckily it was the first item I tried, and it never got disenchanted.
Then I made it an heirloom.

O_o
I wasn't expecting it, but very hard is exactly what it says on the tin.
It seems like a bit of a HUGE jump from hard difficulty, I haven't died once in hard but I died 4 times in the first 2 levels of the first bloody quest on very hard. And the penalties don't seem so bad, 38 gold to respawn at the start of the level? Or does it get more the further you go? Only played the demo, buying the full version later tonight.

The farther in you go the more it costs, same with the XP and fame penalty. It might scale it to your level and how much you have, I'm not sure. It might just change the farther in you are.

Why such a big gap between difficulties though?
Because hard is for veteran action RPG players, and very hard is for masochists.

Maybe you're just bad?
Is there any way to remove an existing "return to dungeon" portal that was from an old town portal scroll I used? It's just annoying and I'm never going to use it.

Make a new portal
How'd you end up porting to town, then walking all the way back down to the dungeons, without using the portal?

How does that explain hard being easy?

Use the waypoint portal

If that was directed at me, I accidentally used a town portal scroll, but I never actually took it.
Has anyone else whose hit the final boss found him to be TOO hard? as a battle/arcane mage my fight with him consisted of teleporting within him so he couldn't hit me at th stairs near the entrance to the dungeon.

He wasn't that hard, my battle with him was pretty much "use spells until low on mana and health > use potions > repeat" until he was dead. Pretty long and boring fight tbh
I managed ok against him while playing a summoner alchemist on hard. I bought like 60 health potions before fighting him, and I probably did use at least 40 of them, but I got it done eventually. I just had to keep the potions constantly flowing in.

It was pretty easy once you got rid of the things that heal it though. Does anyone know what kind of gems restore mana on hit? I have one on my staff but it only restores two mana, and I need to know the name of the gem.

Eyeballs
Thanks. It should have been obvious from the icon but I wasn't sure if that was the name or it had something special.

I just fought him as well. At first I was having a "-the fuck" moment, but then I realized that he was being healed by those goblin bastards. After I took them down, he was a cinch.

Yeah, after they were dead I just hit him with ember lance and he died fast.
I recorded my fight with him I think, lemme check.
What's with the "beat Ordrak in less than 5 hours" achievement on steam? Is it a joke, or a typo?

I think it means in less than 5 hours from when you start a new game.

Yeah. It's not hard to do either, really. I did a run as a destroyer on easy just for that achievement (and hardcore just for the hell of it, which was almost a mistake while fighting Ordrak). It just took me just under 3 hours, and I only went into town once before entering the blood palace, and once before the actual final boss fight.
asdf I have too much free time. I just finished crafting one Star Skull, and one Star Green Ember thing (the one with poison). I'm going to make them Perfect Rank now. :D

I enchanted this twice but i'm too pussy to enchant it any more because it tells me the failure chance for enchanting is 15%...
Is there a way to reset your skill points? I'm probably blind and missing something obvious, but I haven't noticed any way yet. Thanks in advance.
I just got it when it was on sale. I'm not too impressed by it, its almost like a mix between World of Warecraft (interface and layout) and WildTangent's Fate (gameplay). It just reminds me way too much of the game Fate, of which I hated for obvious reasons, you should understand if you've ever played it. I only played it because it was pre-installed on my laptop. However, Torchlight does have some differences that make it worthwhile.
