'cause the help you kill shit/kill shit for you.
'cause the help you kill shit/kill shit for you.
I don't need help killing, THAT'S THE WHOLE FUCKIN PROBLEM! I left the side-quests for when i'm done with the campaign just to find out that enemies don't scale up to your level and now i have to kill lvl3 monsters when i'm lvl30 with a staff that does 968dmg (base damage)!
Also, i already have enough help to kill shit for me. I have 5 nether imps, a lvl10 alchemic golem, a beam golem, a spell that summons 5 undead archers, a spell that spawns 5 zombies, a spell that spawns two flaming swords that attack the enemies and of course my pet!
Phase Demons=Awesome.

What the fuck are these phase demos/beasts that everyone is talking about? I beat the main campaign and didn't encounter any of them (or maybe i did but just killed them without noticing how awesome they are, and in that case it would mean that they weren't that awesome cuz they went unnoticed).
Anyone else noticed how ridiculously overpowered the Alchemist's Ember Lance spell is?

It's a transparent purple-ish monster. When you kill it, a portal opens and you can go through to kill a bunch of enemies and get some loot.

I love it, but it drains mana so fast. I stopped using it though, I use ember strike now.

I think it's kind of fun getting to just storm through a few levels annihilating the shit out of everything once the story is finished.
But I also think maybe it does scale the monsters on harder difficulties, or maybe under certain circumstances. I first played through on hard, and when the vault first opened, Everything was the same level as me, even on the first floor. Then I played through on normal, the vault was open from the beginning, (I still beat the main dungeon first anyway) and enemies were all ridiculously low levels. I'm on level 12 or 13 now and it has just gotten to the point that I can't one-shot champion monsters.

Well when it "scales", they're usually a couple levels lower than you in my experience.
I have a really good and well worked on lvl. 7 character from the demo, if i buy the game, will he be in the full version? AKA, does it transfer the demo save files to the full game save files?
[editline]06:15AM[/editline]
another question, when it says "(x)% disenchant" at the enchanter guy, does that mean it will remove all it's enchantments, or does it simply mean that it will not work?
Yeah, demo characters transfer, I still have mine after I brought the full game.
As to disenchanting, I think thats the chance that it will wipe all enchantments, there is also a chance that nothing will happen but I don't think the game counts them as the same thing (if nothing happens the weapon hasn't really been disenchanted, it just means the enchantment didn't take)
The load times for this game are just abysmal.

Agreed. I'm ashamed to be addicted to this game once I started playing it.
Make sure you never try enchanting a really good wand or staff.
I had a staff that did nearly 1000 dps, and when it got disenchanted, that dropped straight to 0
I missed a meal whilst playing this game.

I remember really enjoying Diablo I and II.
This is pretty much how I imagine Diablo 3 to play like
[editline]05:52PM[/editline]
Also alot of reused sounds from Blizzard games
I hope I enjoy Diablo III.
This makes me worried. lol

I'm expecting Diablo 3 to be better, since they're spending so much more time developing it, and it's a huge company like Blizzard.
My only worry is that they'll pull some stupid bullshit with it like making you buy the game three times or making you pay money to play online, or some bullshit not yet conceived.

I think this is a base concept of what blizzard had planned, though I believe diablo III would be much bigger and newer, as this is rather closer to how diablo II was like IMO.
I personally think that Diablo III will be much better, but please guys, let's not turn this thread into that discussion.
