Ah well, at least I still got

Is it bad that I bought this game just from the looks of the armour pieces?
Let's post some character pictures.
I'll start it off with my current Destroyer, Flynt!

Some news:
Retail boxed edition comes on January 5th, 2010. The Macintosh version is coming after that sometime in 2010.
Woo!
This is Yunlu, my vanquisher

God damn, this is so addictive, if only I had 20 dollars so I could just play away. :frown:
I find it pretty irritating how some types of armor require dex and magic, while the armor would be great for any class. I've been playing destroyer so i've been pumping str and magic.
I find it saddening how I can't remember the name of my guy, oh well. He's level 38 or so.

This game is really fun, I tried the demo.
Everyone who says it's "just a Diablo clone" hasn't played it.
Even people who aren't into RPG's will have fun.
The only thing I can't stand is no free movement cameras, isometric games kind of annoy me.
I wish I had money to buy this. me and my brother have been playing the shit out of the demo.
Hmm, reminds me alot of Diablo. No roleplaying at all, just hack 'n slash, no real storyline. But still fun. Spamming magic spells at enemies to rape 'em.
This looks really nice. I never played the Diablo games, my brother has them (I can see the cases from here) but I just never got round to playing. So maybe this is the game for me...
Also I heard this game can be ran on netbooks, hopefully I can make this work on Wine
Awesome, just found an Identify spell, no more buying identify scrolls.

There's a mod called TorchCam that can help you with that camera problem.

Seriously this game is so mod friendly, it's probably the next Oblivion in terms of mods.

Yes it can run on NetBooks, there's an option to enable NetBook mode in the options screen.
This game is so addicting! I wish it had multiplayer.
TorchED (the official editor) has been released!

The Torchlight Editor should now be in Steam under tools.

I don't think I can name a game that's more of a Diablo clone

Well, there's Mythos. But this one reminds me of diablo so much, so much hack 'n slash. :v:
Considering they are by the same people, that would happen.

Interview with the CEO of Runic Games. He talked about Torchlight and the future MMO in the works.
Never played an RPG, do you think I might like it?
No, probably not... It's not a very good game to start your ARPG adventures on. Now I'm not saying it's a bad game, I'm just saying it's not a very good one for new players. Obviously some will disagree.
Pff, I've hardly played Diablo/D2 at all and I found this insanely fun.
D1/2 aren't the only ARPG's.
This game is super addicting. I bought Borderlands for $40, which I only played a bit, and this for $20, and I think I've played Torchlight about 4 times more.
Anyway, here is my level 47 Alchemist, Jace.

I'm tempted to buy this game, but I got a strong Dungeon Runners vibe from the demo, and that game left a bad taste in my mouth.
Just wondering, I just bought the game and... how do I zoom in on my character?
Rate me boxes if you believe it's needed.
EDIT: Nevermind, CTRL + Scroll Wheel.
Also, this game is so addictive.

It's not like Dungeon Runners. It's from the guys who made Diablo I and II. Can't go wrong.
I've been playing this game (Yes I realize this is somewhat of a bump) and I find it rather addicting and keep playing just to get better equipment.. I am only level 12 so far though. I am going with dual pistols currently. Although I will definitely switch over to Diablo III when it comes out, Torchlight is great until then.
There are some minor flaws but overall it's a good game, if you ignore the fact that it isn't original at all.
Also found some axe called 'Epic Double Damage Axe!'. I like how it actually has that exclamation mark, that's pretty coo'.
Found some unique staff called "Totem's Pole" and a bunch of other unique items I can't remember the names of, but none of them had funny names. :'( Highest level character is my girl one (I don't fucking remember what they are called.) at level 20..
