Just about tired of the 360 - Games

Lot of biased opinions in this thread. So here is my biased opinion The pros of the Xbox is that it has a larger playerbase (good for the online part) and typically has the best ports. The cons are the online community and the pricing (more specifically the MS Points), can easily destroy disks, and only supports standard definition DVDs (which may or may not matter depending if you have a home theater). Also for the people who complain about the Red Ring of Death obviously put it in horrible locations. If they have it in well ventilated places, then they should consider buying a cooler. The pros of the PS3 are better exclusives, free online, a good community (about 10% own a microphone), and support for high definition DVDs. The cons of the PS3 are some overpriced games (looking at you Pain) and the fact that PS3 usually gets the worse version of a game. I personally prefer the PS3 but if you were to ever pick up the Xbox 360 keep in mind that it is mostly for online gaming. However that is just my opinion.

Their fix to red ring is to take out the red LEDs, and kinect could be good, but they are making it gimmicky as hell.

My Xbox 360 is dieing, it's the second one after my last one rrod'd in November 2008 but I was still under warranty. I betcha it's just a build up of dust or some daft crap like that that's making my screen artifact in-game and now I'll pay €50-60 to get a simple problem fixed. I'm not even sure if heat is the issue as I never really noticed how hot an xbox 360 gets before it shows signs of slowdown. Only reason I'm really starting to play my 360 again is for Halo Reach and beforehand the last game I bought for it was Halo 3.

I'm seriously considering selling mine, along with all it's games. I do play it from time to time but I often find I'll either play for a an hour at most or I can't be bothered just getting up and turning it on, and I've never had any problems with it. I've been playing a lot of PC games recently though, but my PC is from 2004 and can't run anything post 2006. It even struggles with games from 2004-5. So, I'm seriously considering selling the Xbox with all my games and using whatever money I earn towards buying (Or building) a new PC. Anyone done similar? Any tips on where I could sell it for a reasonable price, eBay being the obvious choice? I may look into seeing if my mum has any friends whose kid wants one and would be willing to earn money to get it.

Xbox 360 sucks. I will never own one since all the fanboys and crying little kids on it. I have tried some of it over a friends house, doesn't seem that good. PS3, I have not tried. I own a Wii and a N64. Just go with PC and use STEAM. Atleast Valve cares about their fans and customers, and listens. Apparently PC has "crappier" graphics than the xbox because it can do 1080p... These Xbox fans are flat out stupid and under estimate the PC. They probably use really old laptops and just go on facebook. Without PC there would be no Xbox. Fact. PC Has more pixels and is much stronger with Nvidia and ATI graphics cards, motherboards, ram etc. -

I have had 2 Xbox consoles and I am on my third one now. First one I got for Christmas in 2007, lasted until summer of 2008 when the un-readable disk error popped up, I stil had warranty so I just sent it in and I got a new one for free. New one lasted till early of 2010, RRoD. Warranty was gone so I had to pay full price (and it was refirbshed one). Now I don't even fucking play it as much (I mostly play Forza 3 or GTA4) I am bored with it and I might sell all of my games and the console itself to upgrade my PC.
