Here's my dream team for Poker Night 3: Guybrush Threepwood (Monkey Island) -Even more iconic than Sam & Max, "You play poker like a dairy farmer" "You fold like a cow" -TF2 unlock: This! or just a cutlass-reskin for any Demoman sword Ellis (Left 4 Dead) -Could share stories about voodoo zombie pirates with Guybrush, "My buddy Keith..." -TF2 unlock: the frying pan, old ones become vintage Dr. Emmett Brown (Back to the Future movies and game) -Another Telltale game character, could have lots of tales about time travelling hijinks with his sidekick Marty -TF2 unlock: Some mad scientist stuff for engie, such as this Nathaniel Explosion (Metalocalypse) -Guess we need someone from an animation series, the token badass -TF2 unlock: the Rail Spikes is already from the Metalocalypse series Bonus character: The Soldier (Team fortress 2) -He's in almost every TF2 video and comic so he's got quite the backstory: a wizard roommate, intruded the robot HQ, assisted in killing evil Santa... -TF2 unlock: pretty much anything I think that would be a balanced set of personas (over-confident coward, light-hearted hillbilly, crazy scientist, Grimdark McBroody and the all-out insane military guy) instead of the 2 badasses and 2 robots in PN2
It would be nice if they released more characters as dlcs, I'd sure buy them. Problem is, they'd have to gather all the voice actors again with every dlc so that the characters actually interact.

Marty might be better then doc. I think early cuyler would be pretty cool to have instead of nathan. I would also hope for yahtzee as the dealer.

Is "Win a Showdown with only a high card" challenge even beatable?
Is "Win a Showdown with only a high card" challange even beatable?
Obviously. [editline]30th April 2013[/editline] You're just awful at poker hands
It would be nice if they released more characters as dlcs, I'd sure buy them.
Is "Win a Showdown with only a high card" challenge even beatable?
Repeatedly go all in pre-flop while holding an Ace?
They might be able to get away with limiting the amount of DLC characters able to play (one or two at a time) and then just record conversations with a few of the regular characters. Maybe even make them show up in player's inventories. Something like... Strong Bad Level 10 Poker Scrub Replaces: Ash Includes, Chips, Deck, Felt, and Bar. So with Strong Bad replacing Ash, they record conversations with Sam and Brock or maybe Claptrap. They can probably get away with just having conversations with two of the three other players if they balance it right. After all, it's not like, say, Ash and Sam interact a lot, anyway.
Ash always fucking raises ungodly amounts
i haven't played all that many games, between my and my brother, but i haven't heard more than one line repeat. so [editline]1st May 2013[/editline] also its a nitpick but nobody ever gets ashes hair right. they always make it more voluptuous than it ever was [editline]1st May 2013[/editline] this game has a generally poor ash likeness anyway
So I decided to try fucking with the AI by betting a ton of money whenever I feel confident about my hand, which is exactly the opposite of what I've been doing for the past few hours. I won 3 tournaments in a row again.
The fun begins at around 1:10 [sp]HEEYOOOOOOOOooo[/sp]
[sp]HEEYOOOOOOOOooo[/sp]
I've never heard such laugh in my whole life. And I don't think I ever will again.
Claptrap and Brock are jerks in Ohama, Ash is okay now and then. Sam just keeps folding, and I found the best strategy for Ohama is to keep folding till it is about 1-2 characters left.
And there is the swearing that comes from Claptrap when Gearbox calls them that I mentioned earlier!
I've never heard such laugh in my whole life. And I don't think I ever will again.
You obviously never heard me laugh.
.... -Win 2 Consecutive Tournaments -Win a tournament without ever going under 10,000 chips -Win a tournament with more than 25% of the winning hands What the flying fuck is this malarkey
Got Item?
It's funny and sad how a 5$ game is way more fun and generally better than some AAA titles these days.
It would be nice if they released more characters as dlcs, I'd sure buy them. Just started playing Poker Night 2 and won the first 2 out of 3 tournaments. I even got Brock's bounty, the Orb. :> I also managed to get Steve to shoot Ash with a confetti rocket. :v:

[editline]edited:[/editline] I actually got to a different scene, I thought the video showed this:
How exactly do you get the We are the 1% achievement? Do you make 1,000,000 dollars over your career, or reach a balance of 1,000,000 in-game?
For me one of the best lines of the games is this one:
if I could have any 4 characters in a Poker Night game James Sunderland of SH2 Captain Walker from Spec Ops The Line Max Payne from Max Payne Ethan Mars from Heavy Rain can you imagine how fun that would be
Out of all the "make your own Poker Night" threads I've read, my favorite suggestion was The Cave as the dealer.
How exactly do you get the We are the 1% achievement? Do you make 1,000,000 dollars over your career, or reach a balance of 1,000,000 in-game?
Over career. Reaching 1 million in a single tournament is not possible, as each player only puts in 20k
This is fucking bullshit. I reset the tourney, knock out all players, what do you know? Once it's showdown time, game freezes up meaning I can't play the next hand, or even lose to gain my tokens. Fuck you Telltale, how the fuck did you release a game that's broken
At least you can actually PLAY the game.
