Over career.
Reaching 1 million in a single tournament is not possible, as each player only puts in 20k
No, I mean over your career but not necessarily reaching $1,000,000, or just reaching $1,000,000?
No, I mean over your career but not necessarily reaching $1,000,000, or just reaching $1,000,000?
You know the box that says something like -$80,000, or $120,000 (depending on how much you've won/lost). That is what needs to be at $1,000,000.
Depending on how much you win or lose in a tournament, it goes up and down.
When did Max get so damn mean
When did Max get so damn mean
The whole game feels a lot more negative to me for some reason.
I've even had Winslow insult me, and he's like the friendliest character Telltale ever made.
I think for a new Inventory game, my dream lineup would be
Guybrush Threepwood
Bender
The Dude (or Walter)
Archer
I would really like it if we could go back to the concept of the Inventory as a place where video game characters spend their off-time. Brock gets a pass in my book because he's hilarious, but I'm not sure Ash needs to be there.
And I wonder if Disney shutting down Lucasarts means good or bad things for the Monkey Island franchise. If they don't care, they probably won't mind if Telltale does whatever with it, so long as they get money. Or they might not bother even considering it, in which case it goes unmade.
Besides the first game having characters from the same gaming/"Friends of Telltale" niche, the character roster was a lot more fun in that all of the characters were crazy/ornery/egotistical and blissfully ignorant of it, whereas Poker Night 2's characters (except for GlaDOS and Brock) aren't nearly as dynamic together. As somebody earlier in this thread put it, there are no Engie Story/Sparrow/etc quality jokes because most of the characters are too collected in Poker Night 2 even though they normally aren't so collected.
In other words, I think that Telltale could have chose characters that are not just funny, but are also capable of being expressive even in a poker setting like when everyone tries to shoot Tycho in Poler Night 1 if he loses first.
I think Telltale just chose a really awkward bunch that don't work.
And I don't like the random character selection, it should be strictly video games IMO.
Ash is one of my favorite fictional characters, but a.) they write him horrible and b.) he just doesn't fit here, it's not his scenario he'd be in
Claptrap is an annoying fucker and Brock only shines when he can be truly crazy
all in all I'd say this is a poor sequel, but that's just me
Out of all the "make your own Poker Night" threads I've read, my favorite suggestion was The Cave as the dealer.
"greeting poker players. this is cave johnson. in this universe, I am the poker table"
"greeting poker players. this is cave johnson. in this universe, I am the poker table"
I meant The Cave from The Cave, but that's good too, I guess.
all in all I'd say this is a poor sequel, but that's just me
I don't HATE it, and it does a lot of things better than the first one, but it fumbles a bit on some of the fundamentals.

I think I would rather. Bender, Batman, Kenny from the walking dead, and Ocelot.
Bender
And conversely if he loses it'd be something along the lines of this:

Oh god, Claptrap sings a part of the[sp]Call Me, Maybe[/sp]song.
Somewhat, that made me auto-fold, that was fun. :v:
Ash is so painful to listen to. All his lines are painfully unfunny and his voice acting is incredibly lackluster
Ash is so painful to listen to. All his lines are painfully unfunny and his voice acting is incredibly lackluster
Yeah, jesus.
They don't really get Ash, Ash is supposed to be ludicrously cocky and smug at all times, and should have way more of a badass energy
and for fucks sake Campbell is the TRUE ash, I mean campbell was Ash in every Evil dead thing EXCEPT this and the musical

And the musical is understood because, well, it's a musical.
And the musical is understood because, well, it's a musical.
I never got a chance to see the musical but there are people I'd seriously hurt for that chance.
everyone I know who's seen it says it's just pure fantastic for Deadites.
I swear to god GLaDOS can't stop saying the ample posterior line. 4 times in a row? Fucking Telltale.
Stop making stupid decisions? She uses it a response to bad moves by the player.
Stop making stupid decisions? She uses it a response to bad moves by the player.
Yeah that definitely isn't what triggers it. She says that constantly even if I have a kickass hand. I'm pretty sure it triggers when you spend less than a half hour taking your turn.
And I wonder if Disney shutting down Lucasarts means good or bad things for the Monkey Island franchise. Ron Gilbert wants to buy the rights, and restart it from where Monkey Island 2 left off, therefore everything from Curse to Tales never happened (actually he did say he'd consider integrating ideas from the games made without his involvement, because he did like some parts of those games, but they still won't be canon.) He hasn't gotten them yet, and he might not ever. Either way, I hope he keeps the core voice cast, they did the characters perfectly.
I wish they add more characters as unlockable characters.
I wish they add more characters as unlockable characters.
Yeah, I hope the next one has some kind of randomization system, so sometimes you'll get Strong Bad, Ash, Tycho and Claptrap or something like that. As well as adding new characters into the mix of course.
I wish they add more characters as unlockable characters.
That would require bringing back all the voice actors to add dialogue relating to the new DLC character.
As much as I would buy DLC for this game, I really doubt it would happen.
The answer is simple, the DLC will include 4 new characters, they could call it Poker Night 3
if I could have any 4 characters in a Poker Night game
James Sunderland of SH2
Captain Walker from Spec Ops The Line
Max Payne from Max Payne
Ethan Mars from Heavy Rain
can you imagine how fun that would be
you have really bad taste
you have really bad taste
I think the joke is they're all really depressed characters.
Unless that's not a joke, and it's actually serious, then yes I agree.
