Why does everyone on my friends list have all the mod developers that I admire on THEIR friends list?
Loved it so much that I'm making a "____'s Mind" series of it. First episode should be up a few days or so. Expect heavy use of swearing an unneeded screaming.

I liked how [sp]most of the events that happened were borrowed from other games, The mannequins via Condemned criminal origins. The guy helping you then being the main bad guy, via bioshock.[/sp] just some I picked up on early. over all though, good mod, very fun.
It was entertaining but it just failed to considerably scare me. It just seemed predictable, in my opinion. Maybe I just don't scare easily, I don't know.

The only game that has truly made me shit my pants is Afraid of Monsters DC, no other game has ever made me actually so scared i cant even play it except it. But this game was just so creative, yeah i jumped at parts and felt anxious at parts, but i played it all the way through without shitting my pants or like screaming. But the mod is flawless, the gameplay is so good and the story is made up from a bunch of my favorite games, the animations are incredible for a mod team, the voice acting is actually really fucking amazing for a mod team also. I cant think of one bad thing that came out of this mod, everything was just perfect.

I especially liked how they were able to tie in the original Nightmare House into the storyline. I liked the remake of the original Nightmare House. Reminded me of the time I played the very original when they used HL2 zombies and a female citizen model and there was a graveyard in the front yard. This definitely came a long way from what it was originally.
I just love this mod. I'm not that easy to scare but maaaan, at some spots I just squeeled like a little girl. ;D This is my 2nd favorite mod of all times.
I've been reading a lot of "this mod has borrowed/used/ripped things from other games" comments and it's starting to get on my nerves. So could anyone please explain to me what was based on another game here expect of the: [LIST] [*]Girl is hunting you - yeah I'm a big fan of F.E.A.R but it's just the general idea, it's like saying Dead Space is coping Doom 3 because you use guns to fight aliens in both of them in the dark. I could also say the same thing about F.E.A.R coping from The Ring as well. [*]Girl in front of the elevator in the ending of level 1 - This is the only part which I admit "borrowed" from F.E.A.R but only because it was awesome. [*]Announcer - yeah I'm a big fan of Penumbra and it indeed served as inspiration, but again, only in general. Many games have announcement systems. [*]The hall with the bloody ceiling - Yeah again, took inspiration from F.E.A.R but the only similarity in this part is the visuals. [*]Armored zombie - L4D2? for my defense I can say we've made it before L4D2 even came out. [*]Shadow people - Yep inspiration from Metro 2030, it was awesome, but that's why I kept that part short and never made it a big part of the mod. [*]Mannequins - It's just a [B]very short[/B] part serving as a homage to the [B]very short[/B] part from the awesome Condemned, that's it. [*]Good guy turns out to be the bad guy? - Come on, this was made long before Bioshock, I didn't even thought about Bioshock while making it. My only complaint is that this is the first single player mod I've played and I will compare the rest of them to this one, and or not meeting its high quality

I nicknamed the girl Alma before I knew her proper name and, now that I think about it, the first time Emily messes with your mind and makes you walk along the corridor with dripping blood for a ceiling is in Fear 1, but I had to think about it so I won't nitpick :) And as you said earlier, Penumbra Black Plague had a presence whenever the announcer girl spoke and the player was in a black and white tiled room, but I think the level design is just coincidence. And my ISP is Talk Talk, :argh:

I've had the slaps, text, and flashlight. I've most likely had her voice as well as static. Never got the psst sounds as far as I can remember. What are the few other things?
I will say that all the parts that reminded me of FEAR, I still enjoyed. :3 Mostly cause I enjoy F.E.A.R, and things with ghosts. Most, things with ghosts. I normally am a wuss at this sort of thing. Still, I could watch that fucking ending anim for days on end.

So, what are the names of those SWAT guys? The first one to die is named Johnson, but another is referred to as Leeroy in one of 2's lines. Presumably Leeroy is 3, but who knows?
