Oh my goodness. I just finished. That was one of the best singleplayer experiences I've ever had. GREAT GAME. And yes to the demand for commentary and such.

People are talking like the mannequins were the scariest part of the game. Personally, they weren't that scary. Sure, it made me a bit creeped that they got closer, but that only happened about 2 or 3 times, and that was it.

best mannequin scare was when a swat motions you to turn off the lights and when you get to him he's a mannequin
then you find him dead in the next room

Not so much "the biggest scare", rather "the biggest mindfuck". The way the game screws with you is creepy in its own way - The first time I played through it seemed to me the game was so good at predicting my moves (such as turning around or even THINKING something specific such as "let's hope my friends don't die on me while I'm gone") that the game almost felt unsafe to play.

Reminds me of a "harmless companion cube" someone made back in the day. It occasionally made strange noises and progressively moved closer to you when your back was turned, but turned dormant the instant someone looked at it. After getting close enough, it would sometimes backstab you TF2 style.
We require this mannequin SENT. Imagine having it on a server with a player who doesn't know about it, then that player encounters it. He'll think it's another junk prop until he turns around then BAM small heart palpitation.

Just finished it. It was horrible in the start, especially the prologue, as it was just straight up jump scares. Eventually the atmosphere kicked in and it stopped resorting to cheap tricks. Lots of inspiration from FEAR, but overall I enjoyed it.
