Playing prologue, fell through stairs and found the pistol. Were now? I cant see to jump over the gap in the stairs, back outside?
[sp]Stack the boxes under the hole and walk above them.[/sp]
There are two in that little area with the gates, one on the box and the other around there, and I think there is one on the far right of the fusebox thing, to the left of the giant generator.
Thanks! Also I just met the [sp]SWAT GUYS![/sp]
Looks fucking awesome.
While I was playing this, I got emotionally attached to the SWAT team [sp]I was crushed how the last two died. I nearly pooped my self when I had to kill one of them[/sp]
Guys, I'm on the [sp]FINAL BOSS. WHAT THE FUUUCK DO I DO??[/sp]
Guys, I'm on the [sp]FINAL BOSS. WHAT THE FUUUCK DO I DO??[/sp]
First [sp]Turn off the generator to disable the core's shields. The generator has a green light on it and is in the corner.[/sp] Then [sp]Use the axe on the boards that are on the core's legs/support beams. Break all the wooden planks to win.[/sp]
Demanding a video play-through.
I was going to make one, but my voice is hilariously annoying. I could make HD walkthrough without voice commentary. [editline]01:04AM[/editline]
While I was playing this, I got emotionally attached to the SWAT team [sp]I was crushed how the last two died. I nearly pooped my self when I had to kill one of them[/sp]
Me too, i actually got keen into the characters, they were so life-like because of the brilliant voice-acting. I almost shed a tear of happiness at the end when [sp]that Emily looks at the player and says "Thank you."[/sp]
I just finished it, it was pretty awesome. Although I did think the original nightmare house (the prolouge) was scarier. Still pretty awesome though.
Demanding a video play-through.
I've done one, uploading it now, 77 minutes to upload 1 bit, it cancelled once, part 1 is still uploading.
The biggest mindfuck In my opinion was when [sp]you had to walk through some air vents to open a door for the SWAT team, and when you look through some airvent holes you can see the SWAT team dead, it's just bones and lots of blood. And when you open the door they're still alive. That one just messed with my brain[/sp]

In the "good ending" does [sp]the woman help you or kill you? And the good ending as in you destroyed the generator.[/sp] And the part with joe was horrifying.
So many [sp]spoiler tags[/sp]. Anyways, I just downloaded this. Should be fun.
I just completed it. Holy fucking shit dicks. It had everything you could need. I just recommend this to anybody who doesn't even like horror games.
In the "good ending" does [sp]the woman help you or kill you? And the good ending as in you destroyed the generator.[/sp] And the part with joe was horrifying.
yea, how he [sp]got pulled under the door, that really just made me think "ASSHOLE!" and I kept trying to shoot under the door. Then I figured out it was the doctor's fault so I kicked his ass, it only took me about a minute to figure out how to kill him because I was still pissed at him. His cocky-ass lines made it funny how at the end when Emily kicked his ass he tried to kiss up to her and act like he'd been trying to bring her back.[/sp] [sp]The way the commander died really made me sad too, because he was about to get out of there and then he was injured and wasn't able to. I'm not sure if he died when he told you to kill Romero, but I like to think he didn't and that the girl saved him or something. Also, did anyone else reverse Emily's lines? There are a few joke ones mixed in with the serious ones, like "The thing I miss most about living was shopping at the mall" and "Nightmare house 3 will take place on the moon." [/sp]

Haha Hen mentioned that a while back, I guess he wasnt joking.

Anyways, a #34 has been prevented. Also, there was originally stuff there, from the original modeller. We removed them in the interests of good taste.

Anyone else catch the [sp]bioshock reference? When you've destroyed 3 of the Core's legs he says "Would you kindly stop?" Needless to say, it doesn't work. :v:[/sp]
To anybody curious to what the girl is actually whispering, go to SourceMods\NH2\sound\nh2\speech\Emily and open emily_reversed_r1 with Audacity or any audio editor and then reverse it. :v:
Godfuckingdammit. Brilliant. Emily_reversed_r2. I'm pregnant and it's yours? And now Emily will never be as scary again; "You have no idea how smelly this dress is."
Biggest 'huh' moment was [sp]Seeing a swat dude through a window, walking round to greet him and he is a Mannequin! D:[/sp]
All I can say is 'wow'. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it definitely lived up to all expectations and more. This mod really DELIVERED! Not only did it have me on the edge of my seat all the time it didn't have me jump or shiver, but the art, voice acting and technology (and ofcourse, the creative ways of fucking with your head) was all mind-blowing. This mod used the Source engine in ways I had no idea was possible. How did they manage to[sp] give that SWAT leader a flashlight identical to the player's? Valve themselves said they had trouble doing this for L4D[/sp]? Some of the scares were cheap but the rest was really original and well-executed. One can tell the mappers paid minute detail to attention when it came to scripting the events. One thing I'd like to note considering the length of the mod was that it seemed very well-paced; the various game sections seemed well-balanced and I didn't find myself doing the same thing for too long and this almost had me thinking it was Valve's own doing. The story as well as the relationships with and between the characters felt reasonably authentic, and the ending really had me feel something inside my chest. Top three mindfucks of NH2:
The biggest mindfuck In my opinion was when [sp]you had to walk through some air vents to open a door for the SWAT team, and when you look through some airvent holes you can see the SWAT team dead, it's just bones and lots of blood. I'm the kind of guy who jumps at anatomy skeletons and CPR practice dolls if I find them propped up in under-lit rooms. Once those started moving about (even multiplied in numbers) when you weren't looking, I could have pissed myself)[/sp].

The [sp]shrinking/changing rooms, the steel corridor in particular[/sp]. I like how the game played your "gamer instinct" to create those situations (you know, the standard exploration strategy where you run back and forth and/or along a wall until you find either loot or the exit) to build up tension and eventually making you [sp]shit a brick wall when you look up and find the face of Emily[/sp]
.
Best game I have ever played.
One of the most amazing things about the mod is the depth of emotion. [sp] The villian actually seemed evil, like how he killed the SWAT team and how he kept trying to kill you.[/sp] [sp]Rate agree if you actually wanted to kill Romero at the end.[/sp]
Wow, that was pretty awesome. I felt it was even better than FEAR 2 in terms of atmosphere... Did Romero's voice acting bother anyone? [sp]Especially during the "final boss"[/sp]
The biggest mindfuck In my opinion was when [sp]you had to walk through some air vents to open a door for the SWAT team, and when you look through some airvent holes you can see the SWAT team dead, it's just bones and lots of blood. I just whacked the grates to try and break them, I didn't really look through. Also, I turned off the subtitles, so I missed [sp]DON'T TURN AROUND[/sp], but kudos to the devs for thinking to include scares in EVERY area of the mod. And oh God I had to pause the game every time I was forced to crawl through the vents. Damned headcrabs have left me always expecting something to come scuttling right into my face. The [sp]labyrinth vents[/sp] freaked me out too.
Anyone else catch the [sp]bioshock reference? When you've destroyed 3 of the Core's legs he says "Would you kindly stop?" Needless to say, it doesn't work. :v:[/sp]
I think the game was full of Bioshock references and themes. Outside of that, the gleeful cynical female announcer voice and the monitors displaying "Please stand by" over the company logotype is definitely directly derived.
Wow, that was pretty awesome. I felt it was even better than FEAR 2 in terms of atmosphere... Did Romero's voice acting bother anyone?
Only the sound clipping when he yells, other than that it's fine
Even after replaying the mod over and over again, the same parts keep scaring me.
