Isn't voice acting done rather late into development? As in, they have the whole game planned out? Also, are Valve confirmed to be in PAX?

We already knew it was coming, Valve hired that Icefrog guy who created the original DotA some time ago.

Dota was fun with friends, online I agree it sucks dick but then again so does L4D and Alien swarm most of the time.

lets hope it's a crappy small game and not something valve wasted a lot of developer time on.

Dota is fucking awesome.

This might be good for a while before it gets overrun by elitists like every single dota game is.

Looks boring to me.[/QUOTE] It's pretty much 55 minutes of hit and run and people shouting eachother with orders "USE IT NOW FAGGOT, OMG WTF NOOB USE IT NOW" and about 5 minutes of something actually happening. It gets boring pretty quickly especially if you choose to play as anything that doesn't have hyper long range powers.

I bet everyone that shout dota suck or is boring never tried it.

I've found the DotA gametype to be actually very fun. Sure, the DotA community is terrible, but games like Heroes of Newerth and League of Legends really show how awesome of a game itself is. Plus, it's very popular and large companies have admitted a DotA addiction inside their company, sort of like how Valve told about the Minecraft addiction in their offices. It's definitely not for everyone and has its own little genre. Also, it'd be interesting if it is some sort of DotA game. If that were the case, then there'd be 3 DotA clones on the market. Maybe they'll do what they did with Alien Swarm and make it free?

I heard Icefrog likes League of Legend's approach to DotA more than HoN. So, it should be very friendly a accessible! I think most of the stigma and hate for DotA is its horrible community. Kinda like CS. But it's really fun when everyone is friendly and helpful.
