Games you wish you hadn't bought. - Games

I preordered Crysis 2, wasn't really that good and I only got to the second level before quitting. I think I should give it another go, though it still isn't worth the $90 I paid for it

Brink. It had sooo much potential, the trailers even made me expect a actual single-player campaign(they even promised a "seamless single and multiplayer experience"), when in reality the campaign was just multiplayer matches made unwinnable with the fucking abysmal friendly AI. It was like watching babies armed with bubble shooters fight a heavily armed SWAT team. Good thing that i traded it in (with some other games) at Gamestop for DiRT 3, EA MMA and... ...Crackdown 2. I have never seen a game this repetitive before, the gameplay in nutshell: "Kill the terrorists here and activate the Absorption Unit, then go underground and kill those zombie mutant thingys. Go to another part of the city, rinse and repeat until the credits roll" How did they manage to fuck up this badly when the first Crackdown was actually pretty good? The only things that give this hunk of shit at least some playtime are the Keys to the City mode and Co-op. Wait, let's throw Just Cause 2 in here too. I know it's a great game if you buy it for PC, because you can get mods and shit, but on consoles... Well, it's all good until you complete the story. If you want to fuck shit up after completing the missions, you have to pay huge amounts of cash(that's pretty frustrating to get) for vehicles and guns. Why couldn't they just add cheats or something like Crackdown's Keys to the city mode? It would have made the game last so much longer..

Fable III I mean it's a fun game and all, but by the end of the game I realized that all the characters are complete TWATS, and the second half of the game is fucking STUPID, trying to introduce a moral dilemma that doesn't even matter, I mean, I was a benevolent ruler, AND I SAVED THEM FROM THE FUCKING MONSTER, and afterwards, they hated me, just because they lost a lot of friends, which isn't my fucking FAULT. ungrateful little shits. /rant

Total War: Shogun 2 It looked really nice and fun so I bought it, my brother plays some of the earlier games in the series and he likes them. But I had a really hard time getting into it. I'll stick to Civ 5.

This shitty ass Petz game for the ds Skyrim (It's pretty much Oblivion 2: Electric Boogaloo) Fable III: Collectors Edition (I tripped over my ethernet cord making my xbox fall down and scratching my disk and I wasn't that long into the game) Games I regret selling: Psychonauts

Honestly, DE:HR Augmented Edition. I couldn't get that much into, and didn't really strike my fancy. It also runs pretty bad on this PC, and I suppose I could like it if I tried it on a different system, but I can't like it right now. 70 bucks down the drain.

World Shift The campaign was a complete joke, horrendously put together, ontop there are so many things wrong with it's mechanics along with some abysmal balancing. The Reaper (the glowing green poison dude) faction is borderline IMPOSSIBLE win against them. But my biggest gripe with the game is this its one of the very few out there in which the sound department completely failed and stales what little enjoyment could be dredged from this mess.

Medal of Honor it just sits in my steam list mocking me.

battlefield 2 I bought and it crashes on login when signing in to ea or whatever. 20 down the shitter.

Call of Juarez: The Cartel. Could have been good, ended up having absolutely horrible AI, and being just plain unfun

I don't regret buying Borderlands, I had lots of fun with it (compared to other games at least, I put about 70 hours into Borderlands which is more than most). The problem was that it had so much potential and didn't use it (due to time constraints and budget I think), and almost no replay value. I'm hoping Borderlands 2 fixes a lot of those issues.

RAGE I managed to get to the first "Mission" Whatever. The enemies needed too many shots, you had too much health, you just stood there and shot at eachother untill someone falled dead. Skyrim. Highly disappointed in it. I loved Oblivion, so I was expecting to love Skyrim, but sadly that wasn't the case. I think it's a very flawed game and to see people touting it as GOTY irks me.

Rift. Bought it for the tf2 promo items. derp.

It's flawed, but that still doesn't significantly mar the fact that it's fun, addictive and incredibly immersive.
