The original Rayman for PSX. Technically this doesn't count (my dad actually bought it for me), but still; it's not that I didn't like the game (I adored it, even though it got infuriatingly difficult towards the end, to the point where I couldn't finish it), it's just that I don't think the series reached its peak until Rayman 2 came out.

I worded it wrong. lol I was saying that I liked Rayman 1, but don't think it was quite as good as Rayman 2 (I was implying I should have waited for the second game to come out and get it instead; though in hindsight, I didn't even know it was going to become a series (this was around 1998/1999), so I guess that's kind of impossible. lol).
