What part of AVG did not pick up on it did you not understand?
Oh what about firefox
I'm not going back after I got a bighuge Trojan attack with Chrome, it's all cleaned up now, but still, I've been attacked before, so fuck em. I trust fp for l4d2 addons and gmod content now.
Don't you have to download a Trojan to get it?
EDIT:
Yes you do, theres no such thing as a Trojan virus you can simply get by opening a webpage, it has to connect through downloading something.
do you have to be on there longer than 1 second on it
A bit of both, mostly the ads
What about if you have AdBlock Plus
Dear god your a fool. Macs can still get viruses, it's just that since there is so few Mac users that virus makers rarely make them for it, they want the "big-catch". Windows still has 93% of the market
Dont you know macs dont get viruses? It was on the news. They also run TF2 faster along with other games so it appears they have speedhacks but be aware they are not hacking. :smug:

It should block it.
I saw one day there were alot of chrome apps running, but I had like 60 tabs open and I figured it was that. I got spooked today so I went to those folders in the OP and didn't find anything, so I guess I'm okay. I'm still kinda :ohdear: though.
Well, I was just there, and I've got nothing. I'm running Firefox, but without adblock. Think it's safe again, or is it just that I didn't download anything?
It is a certain ad possibly.
It'd be nice if we could isolate the ad.
ahhh my steam stopped responding after i left the site. I cant exit either. Neither through Task Manager.

Damn!!!
:ohdear:
Where the fuck is my AppData thing.
I haven't been on in a bit, but I wanted to check!
Haven't got iexplore running in my task manager, so I'm safe I guess. Phew, when someone said there was a virus on FPSBANANA, I thought they just meant a file.
isn't iexplore/iexplorer internet explorer? and it's natural for google chrome to have like a lot of things running with it's name.
...again...

God Dangit, Bobby! Didn't I tell you not to hang out with those FPS Banana Kids?
isn't iexplore/iexplorer internet explorer? and it's natural for google chrome to have like a lot of things running with it's name.
Yes, iexplore.exe is internet explorer. Its funny because I literally just downloaded a skin from the TF2 section 10 minutes ago and I appear fine. Using chrome right now I currently only have 1 tab open yet there are 4 chrome.exe running. Oh wait there are 5 now. I have adblock so I am thinking the virus is from an ad.
Does NoScript blocks the viruses?

Yes.

You do download it. It goes to a temp folder, which is used for storing webdata(also that is how flash games save)
FPSbanana is always a disaster, the only thing it has going for itself is it has a lot of content. The whole structure/layout of the website is sloppy and all over the place. Broken links, slow speeds, viruses (not the first time) and down time are just a few other problems it has.
How do I get Noscript on my Firefocks, and I was attacked last year by a trojan on FPSBanana, and it took a really long time to get rid of it.

Thanks for the heads up, installing "ABP" now
I don't see anything malicious on my machine, but I have been getting numerous password resets emails. I don't know if that's a glitch or someone or something is trying to get into my account (rather poorly.)
Yes. This. I had to reformat my computer today because I didn't know where this came from :/
Before my reformat, I would hear random clicking sounds, ads popping up, and AV detecting trojans. I had also just visited FPSbanana for some TF2 sprites, effects, etc. Eventually a fake anti-virus program called AV Security Suite came up and insisted I had all these viruses. This virus blocked everything I could do from CMD to taskmanager. I reformatted it and I'm fine now.
Don't go to FpsBanana.
Heed my advice.
Too late for me then.
Least I know where I got my Trojan from.
Its still there. Kaspersky detected a virus
