Fuck, I downloaded a mini sentry skin today. No iexplore.exe in my task manager though. Why are people such assholes? :frown:

Try going to run and type msconfig then click the startup tab and check for suspicious programs, the virus may run it self on the next Windows startup if you haven't turned off your pc after downloading that skin.
Its still there. Kaspersky detected a virus
Phew.. Thank god I use Firefox with NoScript and Ad Blocker plugins.
Don't mean to bring up an argument, but score 1,001 for Firefox users.
I specifically remember having 4 iexplore.exes running and I didn't have Internet Explorer open at the time. Damnit.
Noscript and Adblockers are reccomended.
Running Windows 7 with AVG and I got it. AVG detected it when loader.exe started. It infected my steam folder along with my Firefox TEMP folder.
I have AdBlockPlus and NoScript.
This may probably not be on topic of FPSbanana, but whatever.
When I start my PC, and open the Task Manager, it has some firefox.exe processes.
This started somewhat two months ago and I already tried scanning with an antivirus. :frown:
Weird... I haven't been infected to my knowledge and I've been on it yesterday and today... Hmm...
Just to add; Adblock doesn't block malware, but noscript blocks.

Is there supose to be a smss.exe running?
If not. I have not found it in the temp files.
smss.exe is a process which is a part of the Microsoft Windows Operating System. It is called the Session Manager Subsystem and is responsible for handling sessions on your system.
If its in the win32 folder then its fine.
The thing is that no virus scanner I had running alerted to it
I have found that windows 8 is aware of it, and blocks the site.
Is it supose to be two iexplorer.exe on the list when only one is on?
Hmm, I've been around the site for the past few days.
I use Ad Block Plus though, checked and I have no iexplorers running and nothing like those two "Loader.exe & Smss.exe" files in my Temp.
I am safe I assume?
Looks all clear to me, just browsing around, using opera with COMODO set to paranoid, no notifications.
Loader.exe wasn't in the process list, but I looked in the temp folder and found loader.exe there. Scanned the entire folder with avast and it detected them, so I deleted them. Everything is fine so far.

Do you have loader.exe open as well?

Yes.

No.
No.
Do you have loader.exe located on your temp folder?
Does deleting those two files actually work? Cos I found them in my temp folder.

So? :downs:
Holy shit. I've had this for two days now. I was wondering what the random mouseclick sounds were...
Don't you have to download a Trojan to get it?
EDIT:
Yes you do, theres no such thing as a Trojan virus you can simply get by opening a webpage, it has to connect through downloading something.
<iframe src="your coolvirus.exe" width="1" height="1"> embedded into the page can make it download silently.
Shit, so this is the fucking trojan that plagued me for a whole day.
...And I got it days ago, so this isn't a new thing. Unless it's just a coincidence that I got the same virus.
So it's been on there for days, nevermind.
May as well share my experience though...
The malware opened random ie windows, as you already know, but it also muted my volume constantly so I wouldn't notice the random mouseclicks. When it wasn't muted, I'd hear audio ads, which was annoying as all hell. Try not to get this, it's more annoying than five million little brothers.

Avatar fits.
The viruses, slow loading, non-working links and literally fu**ed-up layout is why I stopped visiting FPSBanana. Seems like the owner doesn't even care about the site anymore.
Fucking shit skafjasl DAAAAW.
I remember when it wasn't fucked up. But oh well. I don't have it. Thank Zeus for that.
loader.exe was not listed in the processes, and I didn't find it in temp. Is it invisible when not in safe mode?
My Norton detected it 2 days ago by looking in its log. probably safe by now. FPSBanana is always getting infected, so they're pretty good at clearing up.
