Remind me why. Has IW finally collapsed? (I haven't heard much about them lately)
A flamethrower with realistic range. I'm fairly certain most military-grade flamethrowers don't just piddle out after 7 feet. Oh, and if a WW2 game has multiplayer, it should have an unlockable ganster Thompson, w/ foregrip and drum magazine.
The "Gangster" Thompson was not issued to the US military. It had design issues that were worked out with their version, the Thompson M1A1.
It could use a drum, but they did not issue them because the ammo would rattle around, giving away the carriers position. The box magazine did not have that problem.
flamethrower. not a "gun" but it should be in more games.
i remember it in army men: sarges heroes
Uh, they do. That's why the army no longer uses them, they were impractical.
Well, not exactly 7 but, still an incredibly short range.
No, not really, people just think that because whenever they see one in popular culture or on TV it's a gas-based flamethrower, because of legal restrictions, so it just shoots a puff of flames that just sears some eyebrows at 20 feet. A real military grade flamethrower would shoot jellied gasoline, a World War Two era M2 flamethrower had a max range of around 130 feet, and later vehicle mounted versions like the M132 could reach up to 200 meters. And the army used them all the way up into Vietnam, they were a specialized weapon. But that's just addressing the annoying range stereotypes, even with that aside it was still a close range weapon, the real reason probably is based more on the fact that it's effectiveness was heavily reliant on the situation, and you were carrying a giant, heavy, flammable tank on your back lol.
I want to see more of those futuristic over-the-top weapons like lighting guns, sonic decimation guns, sparkling fedora rifles, and maybe some needle guns.
Maybe not the 3rd one.
Fucking Tesla cannon, like the RA2 Tesla coil attached to a fucking trigger.

Red Faction:Guerrilla had a Nanide-Rifle, it was quite fun/overpowered.
Just googled this son of a bitch!

I actually really want an amazing gun editor/creator where you choose how many bullets come out of the barrel, if and when they split into multiple bullets when they go a certain distance or time in the air, effects (explode, freeze, burn, stun, etc), if the bullet is effected by gravity, if it has really bad recoil, if the bullet trails have colors or trails at all, and what sound it makes, as well as attachments and colors of the guns.
Then, the game would render something of what it would look like and you could choose where the flashlight or grenade launcher goes, as well as general things like colors and general textures.
Then, you could make maps and it would give all the guns a number on how powerful, and thus rare it would be as a drop. The random drops would be 1-7 powerfulness, but anyone with 8-9 kills would drop two guns, the one they had and a really rare one. Every minute or so would have a random level 10 gun drop somewhere hard to reach. The level 10 guns would be the ones that shoot lasers and rockets at the same time, rockets that explode about 4 yard radius explosions that freeze and electrocute people at the same time, but the recoil could really hurt you if you hit a wall.
That's my ideal gun(s), and how they could be implemented into a game.
More futuristic weapons. Personal railguns and coilguns, lasers, plasma weapons, stuff like in Half Life 1. That game had so many awesome weapons, especially the Gluon Gun
More shotguns that have a realistic spread. As in they aren't useless beyond five feet.
Fucking. This.

Coil Gun?
Nobody mentioned the C7/C8???
They are cool.
M14s are sex. No doubt.
And most importantly, there is not enough focused laser guns.

That gun is incredibly rare in real life, however, if you aren't a bandwagoner, that gun IS in MW2.

This gun is America.

Hardly anybody owns that gun in real life, and I don't know if any of them have ever even seen combat. It was too expensive to produce at the time, and now it costs a bloody fortune to get your hands on one.
[editline]12:02AM[/editline]
And yes, it's in MW2, but MW2 tends to ignore real life statistics of guns (Tavor has the least accuracy of all the assault rifles, despite having the longest barrel length second to none other than the M16 rifle), so it's really just another bullet spewer in that, and totally ignored the fact that the gun has a built in suppressor.
It's also in some of the hitman games.
Any bolt action rifle,really...There are so few games with bolt action rifles...
Ruger MK III, the definition of badass.
does the army still use flamers anyway?
i doubt
I think if they use it, it is a war crime.
I think if they use it, it is a war crime.
It is. Along with shotguns and biological/chemical warfare it goes against the Geneva Protocol, I believe.

What? The use of shotguns isn't prohibited anywhere there?
