It's not that simple.

You shouldn't be assuming that every single pirate will stop pirating Ubisoft's work if they stop using the DRM.

There's no point to Ubi's DRM since it doesn't stop you if you're actively going to pirate it. All it does is create massive consumer hassle.

Ubisoft is honestly a good publisher, the only downside ever to them that I can currently think of is the DRM. Activision is another story.
