How does Xbox 360 games look so smooth compared to PC games?

I really don't know about you guys, but i have a 100 hz monitor, and when i run a game, there's a huge huge difference between 100 fps and 60 fps especially on fast-paced fpses (i'm talking old school quake 3 arena here, modern games just suck at gameplay)

it's very noticeable when playing counter strike also, in other games it doesn't matter cuz' the gameplay is too slow either way

It's the opposite for me. I see more jags in my xbox games (and I'm pretty far from the tv) than I do in my PC games (and obviously I'm close to the screen).
