warlock warlock WARLOCK
If you choose the proper build and appropriate gear (boa's are not necessary but they are very helpful - all spellpower right from level 1) certain affliction builds can be MACHINES. I leveled my lock extremely quickly.
The strategy is to run into a group of mobs, put corruption and agony on all of them (dot dot tab) and heal yourself if necessary via drain life. The siphon life talent keeps you alive as it heals you for 50% of your corruption's damage (with glyph of siphon life) so effectively, your damage and healing is one and the same. This is where the spellpower comes into play - not only does spellpower add damage, but it also increases your self-healing. This, combined with the warlock's other survival skills, effectively make you invincible against large groups of green mobs (yellow mobs hit too hard to be able to take on in large numbers). The warlock is therefore the only class that can run into a camp of ten mobs with 30% life and mana and emerge with a ring of corpses around them and full/almost full health and mana.
Another benefit of this strategy is that since you're tanking the mobs yourself and you're killing many at a time, large clumps of corpses build up literally at your feet and you don't have to run to loot every single one. This makes for much more efficient questing.
I highly highly recommend you read this link as it explains everything you need to know. I was VERY satisfied with this approach and if you do it right you will be too.
This this a thousand times this. While using this method leveling my warlock, I could take on every mob I needed for a quest in a single pull and still come out with full health and full mana.
