yeah worth a try, apparently the music system is good or something
Wow. Popular MMOs need to make their games free sooner or later. Example: WoW is so popular that they got like 10000 dollars per week, or something like that! Making that game free won't hurt them, or anything.
It's a lot more than that. That soul sucker probably makes closer to a hundred grand a week.
People tell me this game is incredibly monotonous and you're fighting the same crap throughout the whole game. Is this true?
People tell me this game is incredibly monotonous and you're fighting the same crap throughout the whole game. Is this true?
Doesn't this apply to every single MMORPG out there?
People tell me this game is incredibly monotonous and you're fighting the same crap throughout the whole game. Is this true?
That goes for a lot of MMO's. Difference? This is free. I think this was a good direction to go in with the game. Great idea on Turbines part, or whoever came up with it. DDO's system was appealing to me...
It's a lot more than that. That soul sucker probably makes closer to a hundred grand a week.
From my calculations they earn ~27mil dollars a week, if they have 11 mil active subscribers each paying 10 dollars a month.
From my calculations they earn ~27mil dollars a week, if they have 11 mil active subscribers each paying 10 dollars a month.
15 dollars a month.
Doesn't this apply to every single MMORPG out there?
Well, some games have more diverse enemies than others. I'm still interested in this game, because I've been looking for an MMO ever since SWG was ruined. I'm not usually very superficial when it comes to games, but I just couldn't handle WoW's art style.
yeah worth a try, apparently the music system is good or something
I've had good times with the music system. I've spent entire game sessions just running around playing music. Of course, I'm not creative enough or have the patience to make my own music so I just downloaded ones that other people made. You know you have a good game when you can play Stairway to Heaven on the lute.
Also, if I got this game, I probably couldn't choose between Champion and Guardian. I saw a gameplay video of someone clicking hectically on 5 different rows of buttons. Which class would be able to avoid that better?

Which class would be able to avoid that better?
Guardians have a reactive gameplay mechanic. If you block an attack, you open up a line of attacks/skills that can be used in a row or a combination with each other. Same goes for parries. Champions build up fervour both through a toggle and using 2 to 3 light skills. With these fervour you can unleash a very wide array of attacks. Both classes have a lot of skills you need to use. The closest option that I feel fitting for your gamestyle is Captain. Not a lot of combat skills you need to keep track of. It's also semi-reactive. You get Battle-readied and battle-hardened states. Each of which unlocks a few useful skills. A mix of damage and heals. Most skill buttons a captain have is about buffs and summons. Not a lot to keep track of in actual combat. Be wary though. Captains can be a bit difficult to play solo. Even with heavy armour, multiple enemies will pose a great challenge if you're unlucky.
If the population explodes with many more people I'll come back to it. The only reason I left lotro was because nearly all of the auction houses (with 1 simple exception of 21st hall) are empty. I hated feeling like I was the only one playing the game.
Anyone who played it could give me a few tips? I read the wiki but I am too dubm. I will probably roll a guy who is getting in the first line dealing massive damage, and tanking or a healer. What race is good for these 2 types of characters? I think of making a hobbit. (They keep me calling Sam IRL :tinfoil:)
Misleading thread title.
Really crap that you have to sign up for beta, game is still pay2play if you want good stuff but I have to say for f2p you get a fair amount. Though a friend of mine said you can only get 2gold max, is that true?
Misleading thread title.
How?
How?
It hasn't gone free yet
Oh no the title of the thread has the wrong tense! It's the end of the world!
Oh no the title of the thread has the wrong tense! It's the end of the world!
you're as clever and bitchy as ever
you're as clever and bitchy as ever
And you're still a moron obviously.
so or so lotro is still a very good game, so if they´re going to make a itemmall they would probabitly earn enough money
And you're still a moron obviously.
suck my dick
It hasn't gone free yet
Of course it hasn't There is nothing in the title that implies that it is. It will be sometime this fall. You can sign up for the beta if you'd like.
Of course it hasn't There is nothing in the title that implies that it is. It will be sometime this fall. You can sign up for the beta if you'd like.

goes free-to-play
Goes and not "is going" or "has gone"
Goes and not "is going" or "has gone"
Who the fuck cares? It's obvious that they will announce something like this first other than fix it without telling people beforehand.
Haha, Oh fucking wow, this is great! VERY GREAT! an excellent MMORPG! with decent people and a roleplaying base.
Can't tell if troll.
I just got an email saying I'm in the new beta, downloading now
I played the Beta a long long time ago and it was a fantastic game. I was quite disappointed when I realised that I would have to pay to continue playing.
I just got an email saying I'm in the new beta, downloading now
So they are giving it out now? Cool. I hope I get in, with some of the new MMO's announced (40k, fallout) I want to try them all before siding with one.
actually the email was sent out 4 days ago and I just checked my email recently.
