In Steam Tools, install the Alien Swarm SDK.
Run the game as normal.
Activate the console.
Open it.
Type 'SV_Cheats 1'
Type 'ASW_tilegen'
You can create randomly generated missions as well!

Well I'm just saying that if they're going to do the whole "reloading expends current clip/magazine" then shotguns ought to be able to be reloaded shell by shell like one would expect them to be.
This game is awesome.
Few protips:
Hug walls to avoid friendly fire.
Take one SpWeap guy with sentry on last mission, have him drop sentry when he picks up the mining laser.
Tesla gun is useless piece of shit, only 10 ammo per clip.
PDWs chew ammo.
Never reload autocannon mid-clip.
Adrenaline is good, but you must remember to use it.
Damage amp is thrown item.
Tesla still sucks.
Take two medics, tech and SpWeap on last mission in Valve campaign. Take flamethrower if possible, there's shitloads of parasites.

It's assault shotgun. Unless you are talking about the 2-barrel one.
Ooh my other 2 friends got theirs done and we played some more, yay. This game is win.
Love playing with the ion blaster thing and slowing enemies down and melee'ing the rest, quite effective. Handy when my team get into trouble too

This game really shines if you're playing with people you know. I had a match with some friends in Easy mode and it was both challenging and fun. Can't wait to play some harder campaigns tomorrow. Also, that rocket scramble thing is fucking gorgeous.

Easy mode challenging? What do you normally play?? Normal mode is too easy. Nobody ever comes close to dying, and there are hardly any aliens compared to the harder ones.

hard mode, level 16 tech, dual wield machine pistols and flamethrower with barrage hornets item on syntek labs.
