You people do know you can change the server that Steam downloads content from, right? If it's going too slow, just switch to some other server.

Telstra servers are ass. The only reason I use them is because it lets me actually GET 1.5mpbs, other servers give 500kbps as an average.

Protip: Use Siberia as your download server. Nobody uses Siberia, I get like 3-10 mb/s from there.

I can download at 2 megs a second, but I'll have to play on 56k if I want a ping that's more playable than what my 25meg connection allows... My ISP is so disorganized and such a cluster fuck... They send my connection all over the south east United States BEFORE sending it where it needs to go, resulting in 130+ pings no matter what server and where it is... it could be next door and I'll grab a 130 Ping, I get 170 to Atlanta and I'm in NW Florida, and 200 to Niceville just 30 miles away
I get about 100 Kb/s here in Alabama, what is a good server to switch to that isn't too far away from here?
