That is true but yeah..I don't think many people would use hack seeing as it's a coop game

Uhhh.. No. If VALVe is releasing it, chances are it will be protected by VAC. I believe that VAC does check IP's when it bans.

you could have done that without best buy's help, pop in a linux livecd and back shit up, then put in a windows CD and reformat.
I've tried already, I have cleared CMOS and got the BIOS back to normal, tested single memory, done diagnostics, and tested all usb or otherwise plugins.
Really all I am paying for is the extra equipment.

MutantBadger, you've probably just got a corrupt mbr. Did you even try booting from a repair disk? Also you can clean your PC out from an Ubuntu live CD.
