What were Valve's THREE big surprises? - Games

the surprise was there isn't 3 surprises

Portal ARG is out, scratch it. Portal 2 for ps3 is out, scratch that too. Steam is for the ps3 (Partly), scratch. MannConomy out, scratch. DOTA 2 is left...hnnggg, might be

The steam for PS3 was announced at E3.....im pretty sure thats in may/june so at least 2 months before august when he mentioned surprises

If you think about it valve have never had a 3rd in any of their series so I'll let you fill in the rest.

I thought the Mannconomy was the only official one confirmed as one of the surprises? Portal for the PS3 was announced during last years E3, so that isn't one of them. I think when a surprise is revealed, Valve will say, "this is surprise # 2."

1.) DotA 2 2.) Steam on PS3 3.) ????? Also approx September 1st was when Gabe mentioned the "Three Big Surprises" statement, which was suppose to encompass 12 months. So we might not have seen everything yet ;).

1. Mann Co. Update 2. $25 DLC mappack for Portal 2 Co-Op 3. $25 DLC mappack for TF2 and 999 more hats.

Before Episode 3 is released I will: 1) Have turned 18 2) Gotten my driver's license 3) Gotten a car 4) Moved out 5) Driven under the influence into a tree at a very high velocity, causing death.

Portal 2 DLC would not be a surprise... we're expecting it.

THE REAL LIST OF VALVE SURPRISES. 1. Gabe lost 30 pounds. 2. Gabe gained 50 pounds at the Portal 2 release celebration. 3. And now you know why Episode 3 still isn't out. The community is full of dicks. Surprise!

Only one confirmed so far is Mannconomy... Other two will probably blow our minds...

Mann Co. has been confirmed as one. DOTA 2 is most likely another. Everything else I can think of was either announced before the "Three Big Surprises", or wasn't a surprise. So we're still waiting for the third surprise. Most likely going to be at E3, lord knows what it is. I know everyone wants Episode 3, but I doubt that. Valve also has lots of other games under their belt and might even try starting up a new IP.

Hell, I don't even think it's on the retail boxes themselves. The only place I've ever even seen it shown is in some of the Left 4 Dead trailers. Especially considering that incredibly annoying trend EA has of making unskippable opening logos in all of the games they publish, because god help them if their customers don't know that the game was published by them I guess.
