They cant detect the wallhack, the security camera will show nothing abnormal, it only tracks your movements, what you can actually see it figures out when you're viewing it
Just saying it'd be a bit suspicious if you walk into a house and start cutting through walls in a direct path to a weakness in a house.

The game seems broken, hopefully some big company will pick up this idea and make a more polished game. (even in 3D)
I just gotta say that is fucking genius.
It's genius in that it stumps the smart people looking for a way to do it, but rewards the absolute dumbest of fucks I'm going to do it, now. The average human is intelligent, so I should come out on top
Who knows, you could've been a returning player. A player who finally found the weakness.
Ah, I suppose. Yeah didn't think about that. I don't own the game but wouldn't something like this be pretty good for a lock? Unless I've misunderstood how dogs work, they try to get to you no matter what's between you and the dog right? So in this, if you follow the green path, the dog will get stuck on the left, meaning it can't get to the switch to trigger the electric thing, if you go through to check stuff out, you instantly trigger the the lockdown with the dog stepping on the switch, and if you try to cut through the wall, you just release the dog. Don't have the spare money right now to test it myself but maybe it helps you guys.
Aww it's an MMO? :( I REALLY like the idea of this game but it seems better suited for private rooms. I think it'd be easier to manage stealing/defending from 32 - 64 people than it would be going against hundreds or thousands. Still looks fun though. I'll definitely follow its' development.

The price also includes downloads of all future updates and a lifetime account on the main game server that I am running. The source bundle includes the server software, allowing you to set up and run your own server (a web server with PHP/MySQL is required).
So yeah, you can? Oh, I am pretty late, am I not?

This game would be really good with actual permadeath, and private servers. You die once, you're out of the server. Wait for a new round to start in the server or join a different server. This way people can't suicide on your building a million times to figure out exactly what to do.

[editline]27th March 2013[/editline] However, couldn't it possibly split the playerbase and create a lot of servers/rounds where there are only a few people?
Is there a list of can dos and don'ts with the source code? Could I modify his code and sell it? What's the limit on these things.

Maybe try with two separate generators.
Maybe try with two separate generators.
Didn't work for some reason. But this game is seriously broken. I can adjust just about everything without the source code. No power? Sure. No attacking pitbulls? Sweet! X-ray? Woo! Walk through walls? Easy peasy! or how about stepping on pitbulls to kill them?
Yeah, don't get caught doing that though. Anyway, considering this is practically speaking a pre-alpha, the game is more in the state of a proof-of-concept than anything else.

or you could just use the wallhacks to see the solution to the room, go back without killing anyone or robbing the safe, switch to the cheatless system and then solve it legit. I'm assuming it only saves records of people who solve the house or kill a family member.
Except wallhacks cannot be detected as far as i can tell. You cant prove they did it since it could just be luck that they got the right solution
or you could just use the wallhacks to see the solution to the room, go back without killing anyone or robbing the safe, switch to the cheatless system and then solve it legit.
Or you could not cheat at all and play the game how it's supposed to be played instead of ruining the game for everyone else
bit locks are a plague that need to die ok
Or you could not cheat at all and play the game how it's supposed to be played instead of ruining the game for everyone else
Bit locks are the only reason I'm not playing completely legit. I enjoy playing those houses which have had some creative effort, though.
or you could just use the wallhacks to see the solution to the room, go back without killing anyone or robbing the safe, switch to the cheatless system and then solve it legit. I'm assuming it only saves records of people who solve the house or kill a family member.
Problem with this is that most top houses have too thick walls to be able to see through at all with the x ray. Further modifying, like changing the players perspective so he can see a larger portion of the map, should be possible.
A great addition to this game would be an automated system that sends you an email or something that tells you that your house has been successfully robbed while you were away and you should rebuild your traps, instead of coming back few hours later to find lots of broken walls and a clear path to your safe.
Is this any of your houses? :v: Think I see my idea here, starts with basic traps then when far enough in, bam combination lock.
bit locks are a plague that need to die ok
You're solving a problem with a bigger problem.
You're solving a problem with a bigger problem.
I do agree with this, but the bit lock trend has just been catching on more and more. When I started playing, there were nearly no bit locks. Now almost every house has a bit lock combination. If it keeps escalating like that, nearly every house will be impossible. The "hack" thing which recently started (I dunno, could've been around for a good while) seems to be the only way to actually beat bit lock combination houses. If this becomes more widespread, the bit lock issue will be dealt with. But as you said, replaced with a bigger problem. However, I prefer beatable houses than unbeatable houses. People using too obvious forms of hacks will obviously be busted, so the only form we'll probably be seeing is wallhacks or see the entire map hacks. I don't know, it's a complicated dilemma. No cheats = Bit lock issue. Cheats = No house will be safe (obviously dependent on what hack). One thing I see which could solve the bit lock issue would be a new tool to conterreact to those bit locks. Maybe a tool which gives the player the ability to have a quick peak at something else on the map?
Thing is, there should hopefully be an update that will solve the issue of bit-locks (I've already posted 2 sources where Jason says he's aware of the issue). There can't be an update for people turning around and using hacks.

Crossing my fingers for a update which solves both issues.
