I kind of want to join this server but I'm not big on the whole "Minecraft" roleplay thing. The screenshots make it look cool, but "TNT-Carpet" doesn't sound inviting since apparently people are allowed to do that, is there local chat and stuff like that?

Local chat is on the server, and the "TNT-Carpet" is just an example, TNT doesn't actually work on the server.

I don't know if you got this, but an "Agree" from NoS4A2 or Macdoo means you've been whitelisted

As Plecy explained, technically no one can "carpet TNT" anyone else, it's just a remnant from the rules used back when Age of Mines was more of a faction server than a RP server. Kept it in there because it's a simplified and pragmatic example of "don't mistake IC for OOC".

It does get a bit quiet, but sadly, only some of our whitelistees stay with us, most tend not to actually read the rules.

Whitelisted. However try to conform to proper grammatical rules when spelling in-game. Lack of capitalization and proper punctuation is a great immersion breaker.

Yes, unfortunately. Some of the moderators got complaints about you being generally unserious and attempting to troll people. If you want to be re-whitelisted something could be arranged.
ok, i just started playing again, but i am very confused.. i dont know how to get started.. im not sur if i joined a faction or not (driftshade) (i have an L besides my name)... i dont exactly know how much i can do.. (because i dont know if there is an economy, or if i can simply cut trees or need to hire someone to do so or buy them)
also, its a bit confusing that the chat names and the screen names are completely different, but i guess you get used to that
