First off, you're supposed to create a wiki page about your faction, that is not just for you but for other people so that they can make better characters that fit in with the lore, you said you couldn't be bothered making that at the moment, which I said was fine by the way. So I asked where you had planned to make the "huge city" of yours and tried to explain that the map isn't that big so we have to plan where to put things so that the placement of settlements feels natural per land ratio. You hadn't done any location scouting and basically wanted me to approve a 8-player faction that as of yet only had one player actually on and wanting to contribute to it, with a backstory that was in the line of "we lost our old kingdom, now we're making a new one" with no bloody idea where you wanted to actually build. I tried to explain that at your current state in the planning and current lack of enthusiasm I am not going to approve you building a huge castle "somewhere". You decided to ragequit. This is what we call "separating the wheat from the chaff."
The lesson in all of this: Don't join if you're set on joining and making a huge castle within the first 30 minutes of playing. That's not how roleplay works.

I'm looking at the items in the texture pack. Is the Stone Hoe supposed to look like a piece of farming equipment like the Iron Hoe or a religious staff like all the other ones? I can't really tell.

I didn't even reach the mine. I had just got my pickaxe from my storage when I got banned.
I was literally positioning my character to face west, outside the mineral shop, because I was told that was the general direction of the mine, when I got banned.

Well, I made use of the time I was gone anyway. I started up creative with the texture pack and made a minor fort and a dock. It would never last against dedicated attackers since it's pretty much a glorified watchtower that a minor noble who is strapped for cash could call a castle. People working for him who aren't soldiers could make a small village along the path to the dock. I call the place: Dockfort.
