Apparently someone on Youtube is sort-of remaking some of the areas of the Zelda 64 Beta. here's what he did with the Beta Hyrule Market place:

Yeah, well, my Jumper Pak's been missing for as long as I've had the Expansion Pak. It's long gone by now.

He says he uses Fraps when recording. I tried doing the same thing recording games on Project64 with Fraps, and I got the same problem.
I bought a n64/GC s-av cable (the normal red/white/yellow cables but with an alternative called s-video attached also). N64/GC's (at least those sold in the US) output s-video through the media output even though the cord that comes with the system doesn't include s-video. The purpose is to correct video issues on HDTV's.
I got it in the mail today after two weeks or so, and its fake. No s-video, it was a false advertisement.
Amazon is full of false products with fake reviews, avoid it.

Not to disrupt the thread, but does anyone happen to know where I can get a legitimate Expansion Pak? I'm extremely wary of third-party stuff for the N64.

Your best bet would be to hit up your local bookmans, look on craigslist, and lastly, ebay.
I've seen some third party expansion packs that were decent, i think pelican makes one that isn't terrible, but you would be best to avoid them. i can help you look if you'd like

If there is a Game Cycle in your town I'd recommend going there. They sell both used and brand new third party Paks. I bought a used one (cheaper) for the same reason as you. I don't know how well a third party device would work and I'd rather not chance it.
