I bought a 360 controller to use for pj64. The primary stick settles a little down and to the left, so all my playable characters mosey in a circle. It's not really a serious defect either, so I'm not sure I can return it.
Dude, you should return it for a different one. Believe me, stuff like that can be really annoying.
I'll certainly try to. Before I head to band camp tomorrow I'll stop in and talk to them.

online N64 multiplayer with an N64 controller
that thing is so worth the money.
Whenever I run a game with PJ64k it crashes, but on PJ64 it works.
I just finished playing against some guy on Super Smash Bros. on Project64k. I kicked his ass the first round as Mario. On the second round, I played as Kirby, and I guess after he lost like 2-3 stocks, he just gave up. I mean, he didn't even try to attack me. At times, he even ran off the side of the map. Eventually he ended up leaving the game.
Man, I love making people rage. :v:
Got it replaced. This one also has a hair-trigger sensitivity in the down direction, but at least it isn't a persistent thing, it appears to center properly.

Good to hear.
I had a copy of LoZ:MM. No clue where it went.

Same with my copy of Paper Mario. Feels bad, especially since that's one of my favorite games.

She assumes that the older the object is the less it's worth.
I bet she thinks that one of Einstein's notes is worth 50 cents.

Is she fucking kidding? Dude, you must venture on a journey to regain one of the greatest consoles ever!
Better news. I discovered I loaned my Expansion Pak (and several games) to a friend before I graduated and I completely forgot.

Last night, I found a box full of manuals from my N64 games. I know most people don't care for them, but I was hit with a wave of nostalgia. It made me realize how thankful I am to have experienced this console.

I can't find any of my manuals OR boxes of my games. :(
there's a video on youtube of a guy who has every single N64 console color, every single N64 controller color, every single N64 accessory, and every single N64 game - including Japan only titles.
Every single thing in his collection is boxed, including some of the really rare things like a gold console and controller.
can't find the video though :(

here's a pretty impressive collection, but not the one i was talking about.

I bought all of my N64 games at Blockbuster, and sadly, they didn't even let you take the boxes home. I used to buy games based on the box art, as well.
anyone care to set up a livestream?

Well, I didn't buy ALL my games from Blockbuster, but I did pick all my games from box art and pictures at the back.

Although not from the N64, I still remember the manual from Donkey Kong Country, where Cranky rants on everything being to modern and how everything he ever needed was a joystick and a button. Shit was hilarious :v:
I miss the good old manuals. They were part of the game, something where alot of thought and work went into. Good example is the manual of Conker.

 Read through it, it's awesome.

And from the manual of DK64:
So let's see what nonsense they've made up for this game,
shall we? Hmm... well, I have to hand it to them. This time they've
managed to come up with a decent storyline that doesn't involve the
usual golden bananas. Only joking kids! This one's worse than all the
previous efforts put together! I know you probably aren't expecting a
best seller, but wait till you hear this load of rubbish...
Oh Cranky, you've done it again.
I remember how I got 2 of my fave N64 games
I traded a Yo-yo for GoldenEye and a Star Wars Pod Racing game.
It was one of those Yo-Yo's you get from vendors at conventions and festivals, with the company logo/info on the side, but it was decent actually.

For GoldenEye, it seems worth it.

It's cool, I'm here anyway for band camp so I'll be able to get it all back.
Talk about dodging bullets.

My brother lend my 64 + a few games to a friend of his. I ended up buying another N64, since that idiot (the friend that is) said he lost it (How can you loose a console?)
But I ended up with lots of new games, Goldeneye included :v:
