Valve should make a kids game called, "Super Stalker typing!" It's one of those games where it teaches you how to type.
Vorts would ride headcrabs.
I did have an idea where vortigaunts would mount Myrmidonts and ride those. I thought it would be a neat idea, given the vortigaunts connection to the antlions. http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=811824 Perhaps not in the wacky race idea thing but who knows.
I'm glad everyone agrees on my idea. Rate me agrees if you do.
guys! if VALVe only sticks to their current games they'll never be any bigger than most companies... if they made more COMPLETELY DIFFERENT games they would have a bigger team, thus faster release times.
RTS games would be cool.
I would like to be able to go through HL2 as a Spy from team fortress 2. Backstabbin', sentry-sappin fun.
Disguise as a antlion or even a zombie!
A Hl2 game where you were a citizen who went around tagging walls with rebel propaganda and other forms of civil disobedience. But the catch is that it isn't a shooter, as in you do not harm anyone. God that came out weird.
Half-Life 2: Blue Shift 2 Picking up almost 20 years since Barney Calhoun's escape from Black Mesa, you take the role of an undercover Civil Protection unit working with the Resistance. You take part in finding an old Mark VI H.E.V. suit and delivering it to Doctor Kleiner safely. You're probably thinking: It's impossible to carry around a big, bulky, heavy-ass bright orange suit and not get killed! Well, it is. That's why you'll be wearing it. Game length: About the same as Half-Life 2: Episode One. Half-Life 2: Blue Shift 2: Episode One Picking up immediately after the Citadel's outer wall is compromised by Gordan Freeman, you assist key Resistance members in fast-paced, intense, action-filled vehicle chases and firefights that you take part in as you smash through the ruins of the city. Shortly after Breen is killed and the Citadel is set off, you take part in rounding up citizens, equipping them, and making your best effort to get them and the rest of the Resistance out of City 17 alive. Game length: About the same as Half-Life 2: Episode One. Half-Life 2: Blue Shift 2: Episode Two After boarding one of the last trains headed out of City 17, you and a group of Resistance members are sent off towards the coast, through the ruins of Nova Prospekt, and directly to a place far away from City 17 known as "The Pier", a massive complex of carnival rides and booths which has been hidden away from the Combine for years, and used as a Resistance headquarters. Shortly after arriving after a 15-20 minute chapter that focuses on the player watching landmarks pass and aliens/Combine fighting through the window of the train, you are pushed immediately into a Resistance vehicle known as the "Monster", a huge, modified Monster Truck built to hold up to 15 people at a time and reach speeds of up to 90 miles per hour. You gather up a team of fighters and race off to the White Forest base after hearing several distress calls, saying that key Resistance members have been killed, they are under attack, and need support badly. The player drives along the coast to see the Citadel's ruins spread all over the wastes that are the coast, and then the massive vortex rising out of the Citadel. Two chapters go by as you blitz through the sand and collect gas along the way, making stops to raid Combine outposts along the coast with your elite Resistance friends. You eventually make it to White Forest to be greeted by a few Resistance gate guards who escort you inside, where things are in a wreck. The doors open in front of you when you're greeted by Gordon Freeman, who shoots you in the stomach with a shotgun. You're dragged off by the two gate guards as the screen mimics the viewpoint of someone dying being dragged on the ground. You look to see your friends and the Monster on fire, you look to Gordon as steps out of the bunker, doors slamming as Alyx and Kleiner are rushing towards the exit, not to make it in time as it locks in place. You are thrown off of a cliff as Gordon watches you fall from the cliffside, a huge blast echoing from above as flames and debris fly everywhere. Gordon fades from sight as you land in the creek below and the credits roll in, leaving you hungry for Episode Three of Half-Life 2... Game length: About the same as Half-Life 2. [editline]11:58AM[/editline]
A Half Life 2 game with STALKER mechanics.
I'd really love to see this, a Half-Life 2 based game that's not just a straightforward FPS, but an open-world, RPG themed, atmospheric thriller with more of a realistic environment and less linear gameplay. [editline]12:07PM[/editline] Versus mode for L4D/L4D2 Not the shitty infected versus survivors kind of versus, but a versus where there are two 4-person teams of varying survivors that are added onto the game, in packs. Or, you could just create your own survivor out of a character creation feature that would be implemented via DLC that you can use online, unlock items for, et cetera. You select your survivor and get ready as you rush through hordes of zombies to a resource, such as food, water, or gasoline, and try to snag it before the opposing team can. You can shoot the opposing team, most shots are one hit kills, and respawn times vary. There are multiple resources spread throughout the map and you can steal resources from the opposing team. The team with the most items/resources captured at the end of the round wins. Teams can summon special infected that are friendly towards their team but offensive towards the other team and common infected at any time.
If they ever make a movie, they should have it switch POVs throughout the chapters. Like, Power Up gives you the point of view of the few soldiers you find fighting that Garg. It would show their squad being systematically eliminated before they reach said Gargantua, and all that jazz. of course, everything should connect to one person: Freeman. At the current character's last sight of the world, whether by death or escape, they would see Freeman. Either Freeman would be the one killing them or killing their killer or just doing something plot-worthy, it would be a central part of the story. Maybe the last act would take the point of view of the G-man and show him warping through all the earlier parts, setting up the inevitable.
I would like to be able to go through HL2 as a Spy from team fortress 2. Backstabbin', sentry-sappin fun.
Gmod, a few addons and that's possible.
Engine: L4D1/2 Story: A bunch of mercenaries and bla blabla bla you are supposed to shoot everything that moves. Gameplay: has both free for all and team death match The lighting and style of the characters is what would make this good in my opinion.
Gmod, a few addons and that's possible.
I think he meant the spy's abilities, modified to fit the half life 2 world... like being able to disguise as Combine or virtoguants.. maybe antlions, but that's unrealistic, even for team fortress 2. [editline]07:09PM[/editline] oh and WITHOUT crashing between levels
No, Freeman should be left completely out aside from mentions (such as rebels mentioning his amazing feats, and on Breencasts).
Rebels? Breencasts? I'm talking about Half Life 1! That's the game with the most room for original characters, considering that in HL2, Freeman is the God-king of all the Rebels, while in HL1, he's just this guy who's real good at surviving.
I like that hL2 mmo idea

But anyway amazing idea.

CSS with L4D engine
CSS with L4D engine
stop posting game enhancements and sequels! we need new Games
HL2EP2 idea: Starts with Gordon unnconscious. G-man says "Dr freeeeman. Wake up. Wake up Dr freeman" and then Gordon wakes up and sees a rebel telling him to wake up. Gordon is going somewhere in white forest and sees Kleiner and some rebels through a window. The Combine attack again and a Hunter bursts through the door and kills the rebels.Kleiner backs up against the window, knowing he can't escape he turns round looks at Gordon and tells him he has to use the Borealis to defeat the Combine and tells him some sort of secret. Some Blast doors on the window close and you hear him scream but don't see him die. I know it's not perfect but it would be pretty cool to see.
What if Valve made an FPRPS like 2K/GearBox did with Borderlands? (with different story/graphics of course)
Prospero.
I'd like a game where you see the Half Life 2 story happening from another perspective, as another random rebel or as a combine soldier. But nothing really explicit, like working with Gordon Freeman. Like, "go to X and kill the rebels/combines" and at the end of the level you can see the buggy from far away, or something like that.
I would like a game which takes the last stand mechanics from the left 4 dead game, except in the Half Life universe. The levels would mostly be from Half Life 2 (and the episodes) and you could play as either Gordon, Alyx, Barney, a Medic, Adrian, a Rebel, a Vortigaunt or as Father Grigori. It would completely non-canon, just like the L4D's last stand levels were, and each wave would have a higher level of enemies, first zombies, then combine, with a mix of the two in between. each person could also have two perks, a defensive one and an offensive one. The defensive perks could be: +armour, +health capacity, +ammo capacity, heal abilty (medkits). The offesive perks could be: +melee damage, +ranged damage, Deployed damage boost (not unlike the soldiers trumpet(I forget the name)) and an abilty that gives everyone within a radius increased health. I'm sure the abilities could be made to it each character, with each one have one offensice and one defensive ability, and there are dozens of moment sin HL2/ep1/ep2 were you have to wait/hold off an army of combine/zombies. And it could easily be done as some sort of DLC for HL. For some reason, I wouldn't mind TF2 with x-com controls/mechanics.
