Photo-Realistic Crysis mod AKA Real Life-sis|Orgasmic Crysis

What's more interesting is that he doesn't have jagged edges on the vegetation - Crysis has never been able to apply AA to their vegetation because of the way the engine renders them. You can use a special console command to apply 'edge AA' which blurs the edges of the leaves but you can't use this simultaneously with standard AA, as far as I know.
i smell laggage

Force it with the CCC/nVidia's equivalent?
Just a sec, I'm going to try to pose one of the shots he took on my verson of crysis, with his config and TOD. Brb
What are the system requirements for that to run decently?
I have:
4850 512
E8500 3.16ghz (or something around that)
2GB RAM
Vista Ultimate 32 bit and it runs great on very high
Waaaaaaaaaaaaat!? How!? I have a faster processor, twice the RAM and the graphics card one step up from that (4870) and yet I get something around 20-30fps with settings on "high", not "highest"!
:(

You're doing it wrong. Maybe try overclocking?
Ingame looks like shit.
Without it, it looks alot better.
Shame on the maker.
DX9 forced to Very High only gives major bugs on XP, not on Vista. I use it on my Vista and it works perfectly.
EDIT: I think.
There's not much of a difference, but I'll let the pictures demonstrate.
One of the preview shots:

Finished product, all on very high w/ custom TOD and flowgraph

The largest difference to me is the lack of "godrays" and the blurriness in the background.
I'll get more comparison screenshots later, once I can find the other areas that were demonstrated (Does anybody know off-hand where some of those are?)

What's wrong?

Rename your 4870 to 8800GT in CCC or ATIT or whatever.
Rename your 4870 to 8800GT in CCC or ATIT or whatever.
Can you be more specific? I'm having a hard time finding anything online or in the control center about renaming the card.

try updating crysis to 1.3 i think thats your problem.
in other news, i get 30-40fps veryhigh on crysis orginal but on warhead i get only around 20-30fps if i'm lucky.
I just tried over-clocking my 4870 (using ATI Overdrive because I'm a pussy) and I'm now getting 20-40fps on Crysis: Warhead.
Damn, the night-time part of crysis turned pitch-black since I installed this. Can't see shit captain!
What the hell?

Same thing for me, it is quite a pain in the ass.
Why would renaming your card help? Can anyone explain to me?

It is the way Crysis is told to handle Nvidia chips.

I just checked and there is no 1.3 patch.
That I could find, at least.

OK, if I rename my card, what are the possible side-effects/drawbacks/bad stuff happening?

I think he's hinting at how Crysis was made with nVidia gpu's in mind.

So nothing is gonna happen wrong?
how is this possible
Quick question, why would you ever play the game in DX9 when DX10 mode looks better?
Because my DX10 mode has a lot of artifacting and stuff flashing for no reason. And it runs so much worse even on the same settings. DX9 even on Vista and with a DX10 card runs soo much better.
I do love the object motion blur DX10 gives.

I havent had artifacting in Crysis yet, must really suck. I use DX9 to test stuff out sometimes, but I hate losing the quality of DX10, guess both have cons and pros.
I like the motion blur when the gun moves, is that it? Is there any way I can get than on DX9?

In dx10 mode (vista) I get stuff like bushes and trees in the distance and clouds just flash existant and non existant really fast. It's weird.
